Halo 5's movement is divine. Best in the series for sure. Keep it.
I agree with this! Halo 5 made me feel like a Spartan much more than Halo 4 did...
That ledge grab is soooooo satisfying, as was the sprinting.

There's this new thing. Analog stick they call it. I'd try to use that.Say you've landed a hypothetical job as a gameplay designer, what decision would you make?
Sure they resolved most of its problems, but as a result Halo 5 was released unfinished with many missing features. Which caused many to stop playing the game.
It took a few months to get the carnage report lmao, pathetic.
Their implementation is far from perfect, but personally I'd rather have sublime mechanics and weapon balance from day one than most of the support features that should come standard, if they can't deliver it all at once.Sure they resolved most of its problems, but as a result Halo 5 was released unfinished with many missing features. Next Halo should be a great game. It doesn't matter in the slightest if there will be sprinting or not.
Keep the MP as is, and take all of the effort and put it into a fun campaign this time.
Did it cause you to stop playing it?
REQ packs financed the free DLC updates, which have been a godsend.I agree. Unfortunately, Halo these days has bigger issues than sprint or no sprint.
The campaign in Halo 5 was a 6 out of 10 and the friendly AI was a 4 out of 10.
Also, get rid of the REQ packs.
They solved just about all of Halo 4's problems, so really the only way to maintain that position is to flat out ignore the many specific flaws they addressed in every important area.
Nice gif though.
From December up until the Summer, yeah.
I mean...they were problems that 343 themselves created. I'm not gonna give them credit for bandaging the foot they shot themselves in in the first place.
Still, MP is at least tolerable now. Don't get me started on the plot.
Loadouts in Halo?
Leave the gameplay mechanics from Halo 5 untouched. It should be the standard moving forward.
This is still an opinion in 2017.. We're off to a great start!I guess keep it. I mean, obviously the third hypothetical option of giving the series back to Bungie and getting a sprint-less Halo 6 would be the ideal choice. But if 343 is going down this road, they may as well make it their own thing and keep it.

Remove sprint 100%. Halo 5 feels like a CoD game. 4 even felt better to play. Halo needs to go back to the style of Halo 3. Perfect game IMO.
imo I agree, everything about it feels floaty, the jumping and running. Is this a joke? Halo 3 is hands down the worst feeling Halo game in the series. That's not even an opinion. It's fact. Halo 1, 2, Reach, 4 and 5 all feel better to play than Halo 3.
This. Halo 5 competitive multiplayer is sublime.
No it doesnt play anything like CoD, Halo 5 gameplay is the best its being since before Halo 3, the last thing Halo needs is playing like Halo 3.
Doom showed that a its quite possible to have a fast-paced AAA-FPS without sprint. I am not against a sprint mechanic if it served a specific purpose, Halo´s gameplay never needed it though.
6 should build off of 5's universal movement abilities for everyone. Best that the series has been.
Agreed. It's really damn solid. To me Halo 5 feels the closest to Halo 1 from all the sequels but the weapon sandbox is actually balanced and varied., Sprint, charge, clamper, pound are all fun abilities that make you feel like a Spartan as fuck.

Get rid of it.
It kills map design
that Halo never needed sprint or aiming down sights
