I guess August NPD sales will be pretty low (still higher than other systems) due to people waiting for the Destiny bundle.
I think this is going to be big. Possibly up the NPD to 350k+ for PS4.

Now all they need is a killer-app.
People already know that for yearsHow does ioi explain X1's 5.1 sellthrough rate? I thought that was a shipped number?
The whole site is one big joke. Dimissing official sales claims. SMH
I went there and looked up ioi's post. That's just embarrassing. Sony makes an official statement and instead of immediately fixing their guesstimates (which were off by 700,000 at the time of the announcement) ioi decides to publically humiliate himself.
Quoting the post here for future refrence.

Lol these never seem to go on sale in Canada.

lol at ioi
Destiny is only a few weeks away, and Bloodborne is only a few months... in addition to all the rest coming in the near future. Sounds plenty 'killer' to me.
Damn California never has tax free any days. Sucks that our state is broke as fuck.Something to keep in-mind for august.

My state recently had its tax free weekend. Actually sold out of PS4's in many of the stores in the district. Consoles were a very hot commodity this year, more so than other years from what I can tell.
ioi can't figure out where Sony is getting these numbers from so they won't update the figure. I assume he thinks they're lying. hahahahahahaha.
Go read his post on chartzzzzz for a good laugh.

I racked up over 12k posts on chartz and was even a mod for awhile, many years ago.
It was when I started heavily comparing charts's data to that of other trackers, started paying attention to how large data adjustments could be, started looking into how the different trackers compiled their data, and started hearing about neogaf's side to the whole banning thing that I began realizing just how much of a sham the site was.
Mix that with a lot of drama between certain posters and site staff, and I pretty much left the site for good 3-4 years ago.

Just to add a little more transparency - one method we have used with PS3 / 360 to estimate sales in regions we don't directly track is via XBL and PSN accounts. So if, for example, we randomly pick 10,000 XBL accounts we can find what proportion of users are from each region - it might be 45.3% USA, 5.1% Canada and so on. Using the tracked data we have, we can then extrapolate to form an estimate of how many units may have been sold in the various MEAA regions.
What we can't do, is track say 75m units in the regions we cover then just say "oh there must have been another 7m sold somewhere" just because a manufacturer announces a figure (which may or may not be sold-through). I don't like the idea of just having a catch-all number like that - we need to be able to account for every unit sold either directly or via a measured and logical extrapolation.
And I remember you!I certainly remember you (I have also that same dark past...).

It's crazy seeing how Playstation(4) is dominating the US Amazon chart. 8 of the 10 products are Playstation. Ps4 hardware twice in the top 10.
Playstation has made a huge comeback in NA
September is going to be fucking nuts ya'll know this right??????????? I mean damn you have people that are going to buy the black PS4 on top of people who already have a PS4 buying the bundle on top of new people buying the bundle.
This month should be very solid as well with Diablo 3 and Madden. The PS specific Diablo commercial been running a lot over the past week or so.
Diablo for PS4 is #6 in popularity on Amazon (among video game related items). For X1, it's #18.I couldn't find a Best Buy that had any Diablo PS4 in stock on release day in Nor Cal. Still easy to find for XBone, though. Probably doesn't mean anything, but damn!

Me too, that's unexpected.I wonder why is Destiny selling better on the Xbone.
I wonder why is Destiny selling better on the Xbone.
I wonder why is Destiny selling better on the Xbone.
I wonder why is Destiny selling better on the Xbone.
Is it?I wonder why is Destiny selling better on the Xbone.
Nah. PS4 is selling more LE and Bundle than standard edition...I suspect many of the PS4 sales occurred quite some time ago for the early beta access.
I wonder why is Destiny selling better on the Xbone.

Destiny on PS4 is selling way better on Amazon... so no.Could also be that Xbox owners (where there are more Bungie fans) are more likely to buy their new game which might tilt the ratio?
I don't think that's necessarily true. A lot of people made the jump from 360 to PS4.Could also be that Xbox owners (where there are more Bungie fans) are more likely to buy their new game which might tilt the ratio?

Maybe PS4 people are waiting for the bundle or pre-ordered the limited edition/ghost more than the regular SKU?I wonder why is Destiny selling better on the Xbone.
Long live Amazon rankings: always misleading, yet always quoted on.
