OMG, IT'S NINTENDO'S VERSION OF CHIE FROM PERSONA 4!!

Back to actual news/on-topic, Toki Tori remake coming to 3DS eShop. Not sure if that was mentioned before, but that's the first I've heard of it.
I don't know, I had discovered about this game just a few months ago. I already got it for iPod, I haven't played it extensively yet, but I don't think I'll double dip as it works well with touch controls. Still, a great addition to the eshop, I wish the sequel eventually comes to handheld devices

I sent the code to astrogamer, who actually posted something close to a pinup. :p

Sorry for the delay, I ended up spending the entire day out, had to keep a friend of mine social/occupied as long as I could.

And dios mio, terrisus, those Nikki pictures are something.

It won't. They said as much, due to tech being too complex for 3DS.

I know and I also know they won't port it to Vita due to them believing it's not commercially feasible(I think they're wrong though). But I hope someday they'll port it to iOS or change their mind about a Vita version...

I know it's spelled out pretty clearly on the site, but I can still buy Club Nintendo stuff after this weekend, right? RIGHT?

I know what I want with what I have, but I just have a feeling they might add new stuff.

never left the stone age
Wow, latest 3DS update fixed the internet sharing issue I had, in fact it works better than it ever did, downloads actually go full speed now.

Also shame on you for not recommending me Rune Factory 4, goat relaxation game on the 3DS.

Looking forward to see
Story of Seasons on the PAL eShop in 2019!

Club Nintendo dies on September 30th.

Speaking of Club Nintendo: 1300 stars. At the moment that would net me Art Academy Sketch Pad or the Pikmin Short Movies on Wii U (my faves from the selection). But I guess I will wait and see what happens - September is still a long ass way to go.

1800 stars needed for Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga, Wario Ware Inc. or F-Zero Maximum Velocity...

Or Link's Awakening DX for 1600 stars. I loved that game as a kid, but I really do not see me playing through it again though.

Might try to snatch Wonderful 101 cheap for another 250 stars. Digital titles will only give stars until 20th April - bring on those sales, Nintendo!

RCMADIAX. Every game he made was shovelware, and he even admitted it on his twitter. One of times I am glad the Wii U is going to get less games.

The funny thing is his next (final Wii U) game is called Color Bombs. I sense a case of irony.

He says on twitter he doesn't know how to code. How does he have so many games out then? (even with the majority being clones)
Unity makes it very easy to get a Flappy Bird clone to work and there are lots of examples out there e.g. :
http://anwell.me/articles/unity3d-flappy-bird/

The other games were also fairly basic.

They're releasing the Toki Tori remake for 3DS? It's nice, although that remake is on quite a few different platforms by now, and the 3DS already has the original Game Boy Color version, that it's a bit hard to see the point. Oh well, options are never a bad thing, and the price they're going for is lower than the original's.

If I remember correctly, we got NES Remix review code after the game released.

Yup because nobody knew it existed (aside from an Aussie age rating "leaking" ahead a month before release) popping up until the day they announced it which was also the day they released it.

Two copies sold? That's not a bomb guys, stop trolling!!!

Mmmh...guys, other cases of games released right after the Direct AND already announced before that? I can't come up with others right now. I thought about Liberation Maiden, but it was something like NES Remix, IIRC: announcement and simultaneous release.

That's also a third party game.

Yeah, you're right. No ideas, then :(

Thing is, they generally don't announce eShop games beforehand. They either get announced and released on the same day or have come out in Japan before or are announced in a Direct and get released at some random time. BOXBOY! is unique in that it was at PAX and was never in a Western Direct. However, it was announced and released on the same day as part of Japan's January Direct.

So in this case, we can almost say BOXBOY! is being announced and released the same day. ;)

SURPRISE, BoxBoy is actually a Club Nintendo exclusive for Platinum members during April!

Wonder how much it'll cost. It was about 680 yen in Japan (so about $7), so maybe about $5?

With the BoxBoy embargo lift on Wednesday, it will likely release on Thursday. Whether or not it relates to a ND is unknown, but I wouldn't be surprised at all if there is one held next week. Perfect way to get a little Xenoblade 3DS hype in North America a week prior to release.

Ah yes, I should mention that the long delayed Natsume interview we had scheduled is finally happening this Wednesday and I believe we still have the questions asked here back in December encased in amber for the occasion.

Except that it was announced weeks ago :D

Only PAL-land has a chance because the game hasn't been announced for us at all yet.

Oh right, I forgot it was mentioned in that PAX press release.

I could be totally off on this, but my presumption was that the embargo might lift right after the Nintendo Direct so that Nintendo could say during the ND, "here's a new game available now!" and then the embargo w/ reviews/impressions/etc. would be up right after so as to not spoil the surprise of it coming.

Again, I could be way off, of course. Just was the suspicion I was going on.

Also hoping you mean this week rather than next week!

I've been saving it just for you, just for this occasion.

Just a heads up, the Theathrhythm DLC that is free appears to be Devil Lord Confrontation II and Struggle to the Death instead of the aforementioned Shadowlord and Birds in the Sky, Fish in the River that was announced via PR.

Just got a surprise when I went to download it. I thought it was because my eShop is set to the AU/NZ region but nope, seems to have been a mistake in the PR.

So I saw on Nintendo Life there's a story about RCMADIAX's tweets, but no tweets on the page. Then I looked at his Twitter account and there aren't any posts in the last two weeks. Looks like he went on a massive purge. I sort of wanted to see his whining about how people don't like shovelware.

Japan had no VC releases scheduled for this week. In short we'll have Europe's PR, and if they don't list VC games either...Direct/N64 time?

I'd say also if there's no Gunvolt in the European PR.

This week, in Europe

3DS
Xenoblade Chronicles 3D
Kami

Note: I haven't got the PR yet, but NintenDaan has said these are the only two on it.

My money's on seeing a Mario 64. If N64 VC launches, we'll get Super Mario 64, and if DS VC (properly) launches we'll get Super Mario 64 DS.
