Make sure you have the right tank equippedI crafted some gadgets but don't see them as options to equip?
I agree, I'm playing this on my 2K PC monitor and it's quite noticeable. Should have been a 1080p/120 4K/60 game like Metroid Prime 4. The amount of enemies that can spawn must be putting the Switch 2 under pressure.People shouldn't give this a pass for graphics. Doesn't look like effort was made to make it look like a Switch 2 game and on top of that it is only 1080p (or worse?)in docked mode?
Gyro feels weird to me i switched to normal stick controls immediatelyI started this, playing as a 2-man coop team on max difficulty.
This is an absolute banger, I can't believe Nintendo put out a game that ramps up the difficulty from the get-go. Shit can get absolutely hectic, we had to repeat a dungeon mission for an hour to unlock all 3 treasure chests. I like that you can't out level the content, as enemies get stronger as you level up. I'm level 26 and I'm still in a level 10 zone, lol. The gameplay loop is so addicting.
One big omission is mouse controls. Playing an aim based game with stick + gyro feels subpar, not sure why they didn't put the option when they had it in other games. I'm also baffled that you can't move your aim vertically with the stick, as in usual Nintendo fare you have to play like they want you to play, there is zero flexibility in customizing the controls.

I'm not sure maybe when calling for help you decide how many players can join.Btw isnt this 4 player coop? Everytime i helped someone it was always 3 players
Maybe but its weird that its always 3 players. Also whats up with the fake names. Come on nintendo you dont need to hide other player namesI'm not sure maybe when calling for help you decide how many players can join.
It is 4. Managed to get in a 4-man group couple of times but mostly 2-man and 3-man groupsBtw isnt this 4 player coop? Everytime i helped someone it was always 3 players
The OST really bothers me, too. Even my wife asked "what's with the weird music?"Another thing I'm appalled about is the OST. Was is the same in the other Splatoon games? I almost want to mute it at times.
The timer for only if you asking for help. You can help other people without a cooldownThe OST really bothers me, too. Even my wife asked "what's with the weird music?"
I was like "I dunno, we're in Nickelodeon land with squids 'n shit. Sounds about right, I guess?"
I'm gonna check to see if we can turn it off today and I'll put my own music on lol
I think I'm level 15. Can't wait to play more!
Oh…what's with being able to ask for help every 30 minutes? Why is there a timer for matchmaking?
For sure, I still find the timer odd for asking help. I was helping others last night to level upThe timer for only if you asking for help. You can help other people without a cooldown
Low level missions turns into a spicy mode which upscales the level significantlyI tried to play in singe player and the missions don't scale up, their level remains fixed so you are able to steamroll lower level missions.
In coop each mission scales up to your level, so the game remains challenging no matter the content you are doing. I will keep playing in coop, game is too fun this way, you always have to pay attention and actually use strategy/routing for the most difficult missions.
I mean this, it doesn't happen in single as far as I know:Low level missions turns into a spicy mode which upscales the level significantly
We told yaI can't believe how addicting this game is!
I get hints of Astrobot in here, which is awesome. Just a fantastic game overall.

That's true, I've found the outfit selection to be extremely basic. And like 5% of the available costumes are locked behind Amiibo also which is lame.If there's one aspect of this game that is undoubtedly worse than the others, it's the clothing customization. I really miss mixing + matching clothing as opposed to these predetermined outfits that have very little variety.
Most costumes are just color swaps, which is a bit disappointing. If there's one aspect of this game that is undoubtedly worse than the others, it's the clothing customization. I really miss mixing + matching clothing as opposed to these predetermined outfits that have very little variety.
Does it sound like fish having an orgy in a tuba in the middle of a rave? Yeah, they all sound like that.Another thing I'm appalled about is the OST. Was is the same in the other Splatoon games? I almost want to mute it at times.

I just tried the Splatanas today, they are AWESOME.Don't sleep on the Splatanas. They slap hard
A new TV! Nice!Gonna take a day break, because my new tv comes tomorrow and i wanna play the rest of it there. Tried some handheld mode, im playing docked 99% of the time, but it looks really good in handheld mode, so crisp with great colors
I've been intentionally staying blind to the music until I get to play this myself, but that's unfortunate and kind of confirms one of my fears.Yeah I'd say the ost is definitely a flaw, it's kind of shit but it's also not usual for Splatoon. The series has a lot of great tracks, I think part of the problem is that in universe the music is composed by salmonids and even in the original trilogy salmonid music is purposefully chaotic and dissonent. I'm not a music expert but I'm pretty sure their songs are composed in a weird rhythm and it's done on purpose to be stressful.
well shit. i crafted 2 things for the tank i wasnt even using hahaMake sure you have the right tank equipped
Its fine mate. You will use them one way or anotherwell shit. i crafted 2 things for the tank i wasnt even using haha
Yep I've dabbled in a few of the post-game things, and they are Battletoads-level of difficulty. But really fun, and like you said really makes you use the game's mechanics and optimize everything you possibly can. It's also got me going to do some spicy and super-spicy stuff to level up - and to level up my tanks. I'm currently rocking the max level tactical (purple) tank with the double turret and the spinwheel thing both set on auto. It wrecks everything it touches normally, but on those challenge levels I still get stomped like I'm not even trying. That postgame is the hardest a Nintendo game has been since the NES days. Some of the highest difficulty ruins in particular are legitimately brutal, but a neat consequence of that is you're forced to use all the mechanics if you want a chance to win. For ex the characters constantly tell you calling the bot can help with gathering eggs because it creates a shockwave when it lands that attracts nearby eggs but I ignored it for the longest time until I realized it's absolutely necessary in the postgame, you don't have enough time to get them by swimming, you have to move across the map extremely quickly. Brilliantly designed game.
Splatoon games has sweatiest multiplayer than cod lobbiesDamn, post-game sounds brutal. That's super surprising for a game like this.
Thankfully my wife didn't pick it up lol. I'll most likely tap out after beating the story, if it really is that hard.
Unless we do GAF runs or something? That's still pretty wild they set it up to be so challenging. I didn't realize Splatoon fans were hardcore.
Man I really had no idea lolSplatoon games has sweatiest multiplayer than cod lobbies![]()
