Wasn't Dino Crisis all but confirmed? Also what about that Street Fighter/Sony viral video?

Deep Down:Fall 2014 Sony exclusive
Dino Crisis: 2015 multiplatform
Street Fighter 4 Ultra Turbo Arcade Edition-Alpha CE: Summer 2014 Sony console exclusive

It's almost certainly RE7.

Capcom relies on Resident Evil, as it's one of their only two sure-fire hit IPs. Their last internal RE game ended development in 2012 (excluding the Revelations HD port), and they'll now be hip-deep into development of 7. So we're probably going to get a teaser and possibly some gameplay footage at E3.

It's the only thing I could see them wanting to make that fits the term 'big', at least.

Whats the deal with Deep Down anyway?

I really would love and Onimusha Re-make or Port of all the originals at the least on the levels of there CG intros. They had the best in the world at that time and it would probably be...*Drools*...

Man, just be something amazing and lives up to what u show off!

If it is RE7, I hope they keep down the path they are on with RE6. Could use some more polishing and be less obtuse so people are more open to it. Any sort of dumbed down game (Revelations or worse) would be pretty disappointing.

While I really want a RE7, anything would be cool. DMC would be a nice surprise. They are way too quiet these days.

If anything Revelations was much better than RE6. How can you be an RE fan and like RE6 which was abysmal and generic?

That and a console edition of MH.
The Wii U will probably get that like it did MH3U.

As for RE7, as long as it takes more after Revelations, I'm down. Though deep down
no pun intended
I was hoping for Mega Man, a port of USF4, or Marvel Super Heroes 2 (with only the USF4 port being plausible right now).

being obtuse wasn't really the problem. they need to a better job building a game around the new mechanics and giving you an actual incentive to bother using them.

The only thing I want out of Capcom right now is Dragon's Dogma 2.

You want clunky controls when we could have the freedom of diving away from zombies, interacting with the environment and sprinting (etc etc)?

Whether it's an action game or return to classics, the controls from 6 need to stay.

Edit: More importantly, who are you to judge someone's taste in games? Everyone can be the fan they want to be and your distaste for it is a non-factor. Get over it.

I honestly think they're going to try the 'something for everyone' approach of 6 again, but lean more toward content people will associate with the older titles. Action RE sells like crazy, but there's a definite disillusionment with the franchise starting to creep in, if only thematically, and Capcom simply can't afford to lose this series' pulling power.

The saddest thing about this thread is the sheer number of amazing IPs being thrown around as possibilities for a much needed revival, and how Capcom continues to ignore their near bottomless trunk of amazing games.

Ugh.

Yes.

Tank controls > whatever the fuck RE 6 is

If they do stick with 6's controls they better completely gut the cover/melee system.

Would LOVE a new Onimusha.

Bungie also needs to make a new Oni

Its not clunky, its unique. You want typical controls? You scared of the zombies? You can interact in older RE titles too. Sprinting has always been in RE,you held square to run...

If it's USFIV than Capcom can eat a dick. That's not an E3 announcement, that's a twitter announcement. Go big or stay home. Dragons Dogma 2 or bust.

Um, no tank controls were present in many ps1-ps2 gen games. They aren't unique. RE6 and Vanquish have controls that should never be abandoned.

And the methods of interaction in the older games are not the same as now. Btw, there's a difference between walking and running compared to walking, jogging and sprinting.

Tank controls are not going to do anything for RE but be a downgrade. And the newer controls won't hurt the overall series, these controls won't hurt in a horror game at all.

RE6 was the definition of clunky.

They tried to add more mobility to an old system and it didn't work imo.And yes I played the mercenaries and I have plenty of experience with that system.Nothing to write home about.
