I think you might be underestimating how popular Street Fighter is.The original SFIV sold over 3 million copies. Additionally, the other SFIV releases have sold a combined 3.5 million units (this doesn't include the DS version or SFxTekken). Roughly, the SFIV brand sold 6.5 million units.
Street Fighter is one of the few fighting franchises that isn't niche. If the next entry were to become a console exclusive, I assure you a good number of sites will go down that day.
Square said that the game that they are about to show is not a remake, but Verendus has stated that the FFVII remake is in development.
I don't know if Verendus verified that, maybe my memory is failing me. I do remember him posting about TLG being developed.
Well, Verendus himself said that "he even saw it with his own eyes", and he wasn't banned after such claims, so...
IF, there somehow is a FFVII remake, it likely will be done by CyberConnect2. Least... that's the way I see it. They made G Bike, they said they wanted to remake FFVII, CyberConnect2 also said they had a major reveal end of the year.... 3 major things here. Obviously there will be major oversight from Square but yeah... just my view regarding this.

There's like a several tech demos with FFVII as base, and I wouldn't be surprised if they internally have more of them.
These are letters Edge has been highlighting or capitalizing as hints, just trying to make sense of it I could be completely rambling to myself.
I still think the issue will be primarily in the hardcore community.... figuring most consumers will just say "Why isnt it on X1" if they have an X1 and "Oh ok" if they have a PS4.... Nothing of an uproar

-Vib Ribbon would be pretty dang cool
-I could probably see an Uncharted Collection. Please?

1. Crash sells well Activision sees value in the IP and doesnt want to sell it
2. Crash doesnt sell well Sony can buy IP but wouldnt make a game due ot low demand

Of this post it looks like a new Jak and Daxter game....but because he may not directly mention the game he knows it to be there is an odd omission of Medievil which seems like the most likely reboot character due to his inclusion and level in PSABR
A Crash game in this day and age would be weird.
A Jak & Daxter game could work though.

I wonder why people day this so much. There are plenty of non-Mario platformers. Sony is the next biggest publisher of platformers after Nintendo. They pretty much make one (at least) every fall. Last year there were four (Sly 4 early, Puppetteer, Tearaway, Into the Nexus), five if you count Knack (only like 30% platforming). This year was just LBP, so I imagine they'll want to step it up a bit for next year. We'll get Ratchet and Clank spring, Tearaway Unfolded in summer or early fall, and probably this old IP late fall. Crash would be huge, all the games consistently top the charts on PSN classics. I'm confident a new Sony Crash game on PS4 would sell ~5 million units, at least. Especially if Naughty Dog made it. I don't think it will be Crash, though. Probably Ape Escape or MediEvil.

I said this in another thread, but even the "bad" Crash games still had a sizeable audience. The Radical Entertainment platformers sold extremely well* across all the consoles, and Activision did nothing to advertise the last game they made. The first Crash racing game on iOS was the #1 game on iOS for a ridiculously long time as well, I think for more than a year?
*can't find my source on this, anymore, but the source had the games at 4 million combined. Take it with a grain of salt since I can't find it anymore.
Which leads me to...
If this announcement is Crash, here's how I see it playing out:
- Activision developed/published
- Timed exclusive on all Playstation consoles (maybe cross gen)
- Activision has options to release it on other consoles after a time
- Sony release will have somewhat significant exclusive content never made available on the other platforms.
