Why can't he just have a beard because he wonders the world fighting and doesn't have time to shave...
What if this is a omen
For sure. The way he's never had a girlfriend, and he constantly rebuffs Sakura. And now this latest.
If straight bros get boob physics we need junk physics.
Has there really not been a hot guy in a video game before?
I could've sworn I saw a better piece of sweet man-flesh in some other game. I feel like there are at least 2 Bioware games with characters expressly designed to appeal to those who like man-bodies.
In the age of social media Ryu's responses would probably be "Fight me IRL"Nah, he doesn't know what sexuality is.
All he does is fight. Its all he knows, its all he does. He fights to learn why to fight harder. Chun Li prolly tried to come onto him and he thought she was trying to spar or some mess

Hmm... I like the concept but it's a shame to waste that on a 3DS game.Fates has armour customisation; and therefore armour removal. You can take off much more than the shirt, but obviously there's not much to see on a stylised 3DS model. The important thing is it sets a precedent for future Smash Bros. games.
Is this better?
since we're talking about sexuality
i'm pretty sure ryu is either gay or bi

Is this Mitsu? Always had a crush on him.

That's my point. When a dude has his ass hanging out its "bad character design and yuck" but if a female character has it like Mika, its totally cool and if you don't like it it's "stop pushing your agenda"That guy was a little closer to Vaan from FFXII than Ryu in this case and almost had his ass hanging out, lol. Ryu's look here is a bit closer to someone like Snow from FFXIII when he had his ~moment~ in the game.

Why did Shulk of all people have to be the one male character in Smash 4 with a shirtless costume? I get the Xenoblade costume reference, but still. Not the newly buff swordsman, not the hunky boxer, not the spandex-wrapped racer who's practically bursting out of his outfit already. Ugh.
Daddy Ryu, save this series.

That would work for me.Maybe if they took their clothes off withing the confines of their own games they would have gotten a costume. Maybe people should beg for the team to add in a 9th beach outfit for every character as DLC.
Why is Ryu stealing my look?
Is Capcom Spying on me?
sure, people have all kind of fetishes, including smelling sweaty male socks after gym...
but beard+hobo look=hot?
no.

You don't think Henry Cavil looked hot when he was rocking that look? It was the only good part of Man of Steel.

Dad bod, but not a daddy.Does Big Boss qualify as a daddy?

Men's asses are covered in pretty much every standard acceptance of male sexiness. I don't think women and/or gay dudes really want to see Ryu's ass in a thong, they want to see him look sexy in a way that fits his character and modern standards of what an attractive man looks like.
All these scantily clad men in games...where are all the hot chicks? It sucks being straight in today's society

Do you have a credible source for that?
Little Mac was shirtless in Super Punch-Out. Ike had two separate underwear/swimsuit costumes between Awakening and Fates. Falcon had the Blood Falcon boxer shorts from F-Zero GX. None of those would have to be invented from whole cloth.
That's not a dad bodDad bod, but not a daddy.
Why would I have a source for what is clearly an inference based on consumption of popular media.
Ken is forever in Ryu's shadow. And yet, he is never jealous or bitter about it, loving Ryu like a brother. WHEN WILL WE GET HOT KEN?!Ken really seemed like he got the short end of the stick there.
The "dad bod" was such a shortlived and ill conceived fad, that most people didn't even actually learn what it was referring to.That's not a dad bod
Ryu in a fundoshi would be the most natural extension his character since he grew a beard that one time.A cursory amount of research would show that men's butts aren't particularly underappreciated among those demographics - in particular, equating covered asses to the 'standard gay male acceptance of sexiness' is especially easily disputed. And in the case of Ryu, the structurally-similar fundoshi has been central to fan depictions of him for decades - it's even been modded into SFIV. Going off that, it's a little difficult to say with certainty that a thonglike outfit would be received badly...
