I never understand comparing this to the Oscars. Sure, the winners are real head scratchers sometimes, but the Oscars still celebrate the past year of movies; they aren't a four hour trailer reel for next year.
But...
Donna Burke or no Donna Burke?

Can't wait to see Neil Druckmann taking pictures again.

Did I mention Zelda?
McHale is literally the only thing I remember about the show.
No one else remember the 2013 one?
"Hah, here's the game of the year award, it's GTA V, so let's go over the other awards"
That was terrible lol
Whatever happened to the caveman indie game with the moaning theme song?
That was VGX, a Spike awards show that they worked with Geoff Keighley on. Last year and this year are the Game Awards, an awards show BY Geoff Keighley as a response to his dislike for how the VGAs/VGX was handled.
The fact that Spike stopped doing the VGAs/VGX makes it seem otherwise, but they're two different shows.

"Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime will be on The Game Awards’ advisory board. He’ll be joined by other well-known executives and industry figures such as Xbox boss Phil Spencer, Sony Computer Entertainment America CEO Shawn Layden, and Hideo Kojima"

I guess we will see something interesting from them, this year. Hoping its a Zelda trailer without ppl having to do screen inception.

Hoping for less technical gaffes, awkward pacing and bad music acts.
What is more prestigious award than Geoff's??Because people care about Geoff Keighley's "Game Awards".
Last year this was pretty mediocre. Hopefully he will have better surprises.
I'm certain there will be a very moving Iwata tribute
The show called, simply, the Game Awards is now the closest thing the games business has to its own Oscars.
Oh, come on.
BAFTA Video Game Awards is leagues ahead.
