what is he actually supposed to be doing on his phone? I usually have a high tolerance for hacker code bullshit in media but this is pushing it

he is dragging the terminal window around.

its the first thing you learn in computer science bro.

Looking forward to seeing more of the game.

Maybe they showed us 30 seconds of hand movement and a phone because they want us to deeply analyse what's on the phone, or is that too much of a reach?

This was in the source code for the website, I shit you not.

Ugh no

I'm excited for the game. Fingers crossed the concept and gameplay focus got polish in all the places they needed.

Very bad teaser, i hope the game will be good instead... Watch Dogs had potential, i actually liked it even though it's a mediocre game

Speak for yourself ;)

That's what I do here all the time.

But I do believe a lot of people were disappointed by Watchdogs and that the sequel will do worse than the first game unless Ubisoft manages to completely revamp the game and make it actually fun.It worked for Assassin's Creed 2. But I have not that enough confidence in Ubisoft. I don't care for their mass produced cookiecutter open world games anymore.

Really poor teaser. Not worth clicking on if you haven't. Literally just a hand and an old looking smart phone.

I enjoyed bits of the first game so still interested in what this is like.

Very simple trailer, but for some reason even though the first game was such a let down I'm getting excited for this franchise again.. It's like the assassin's creed effect
It was a bit of a let down, but I still enjoyed it. There were some cool ideas. If they can fix some of the let downs from first one, there will be some potential for the second one to be really good.

Incorrect.

This teaser was lazy, but then I guess it only exists to point out that they plan on showing the game off on Wednesday.

A little sad it's just a teaser, but we've still got a full week to go before E3 so I don't blame them.

Not sure if this was intentional, but "print ('Hello World')" is usually used as the very first program computer science students make in their introductory course (mostly based on Python). I guess that's kinda cool?

The "Hello World!" program is the first program everyone does in every language in history, period... even pseudocode :D

I hope this WD2 does things better, it has potential. Being a big fan of Person of Interest I wish Ubisoft takes clues from that show to improve the game... ^^ We'll see in two days.

Hi, I'm nortonff. I spend my life going into threads to say that I don't care about the topic of the thread. It's a really good use of my time.
Hello world? lol, biting Mr. Robot. Shame Ubi.

Watch dogs was a great game; looking forward to this. But yeah the teaser looked pointless, but maybe that's because I watched it on mute.

the teaser looks like one of those things that would be on the background of a website, or placed on the front page of a new website to tease the game, but Ubi just opted to make it a 30 sec video. Which is fine by me.

Excited to see what the game looks like. Where it takes place and what the mechanics are, etc.

First game looked quite good, especially the water :p

The original wasn't very good. Blew its load in like, 40 minutes.

Is it too much to hope the sequel will have any...depth?

poor trailer but very interested in this game. I personally enjoyed the first game and wanted more of it when finished.

Why are people coming in here and hating on the game? If you didn't like it then why bother clicking? some people just can't help themselves.

Look. Remember far cry primal? 24 hrs of shitty teaser and we got an awesome game.

Ubi. Keep up the good work, your past few games have been a step in the right direction.

I remember people aping Ubi saying how they would be lazy and have all of the characters speak English

Turns out every tribe spoke their own custom language

I'm all for a watch dogs 2 ( core gameplay is there, just make the protagonist a less piece of shit and we good), but this teaser... who is it for? It's the most antihype teaser this year.

It's like no one in ubisoft owns a smartphone. A giant 'HACK BUTTON' would work better than mr watch dogs dragging a terminal window around... like who the hell thought that looks 'cool'?

Can't wait to see this trailer and for people to say here it will totally represent how the game looks.

What I loved about the first game was how dynamic the encounters could be.

You could do the same encounter multiple times and play it out in different ways. Not the usual tps cover and shoot, although that was an option. But also combining stealth and hacking to clear an entire area without enemies ever noticing you was an amazing feeling.

Also the driving mechanics felt great, especially in first person mode.

On foot mechanics were a TON of fun in the first game. I just want more of that + a better story and a better city.

I think the IP does have a lot of potential. The problem for me is that in this first game I was expecting something similar to Person Of Interest, a game that explores the fine line between safety through surveillance and the right to privacy. Instead we got a grimdark non-self aware GTA-clone that says surveillance is bad except when used to conduct a murderous rampage to avenge your late daught- I mean, neice, with traditional Ubi bloat mixed in. Though whether Ubisoft's vision for the for the franchise overlaps with my ideal Watch Dogs game remains to be seen; to say I have doubts would be an understatement.

Though it might still make for an interesting or at least somewhat entertaining game so I'm remaining cautiously optimistic.

I wonder if the writing is as shit as always in Ubisoft AAA titles

Would be sad to see a non-white protagonist go to waste on that.
