Considering it's 99.9% stolen stock they will not comment (for now). Rather, investigate what has happened and get the authorities involved in whatever country the leak can be tied back to.
I mean it's all fun and great talking about breaking news/leaks, but as it sometimes is it'll be stolen goods we are discussing. Not just snaps from a warehouse.

XB1 has been cheaper than PS4 for a damn long time know. Since black friday there's all this crazy deals on XB1 bundles where the final price of the console is like $150.
I'm not disputing that XB1 can win some months, i'm just saying that simply being cheaper is not a guarantee of more sales.
You are overreacting a bit.
It uses same matte plastic as launch [and new all-mate CUH-1200] PS4. We have pictures that are either not perfectly clear, or filmed in night where slim was compared to more glosssy white PS4.

Yeah, makes sense to hold a Playstation Meeting for Neo launching 6/7 months later along with going against the words of the CEO of Playstation himself talking about an Apple style rollout.

If the Slim launches at $249 USD then it will probably be $299 CAD, which means $249 on Black Friday, $280 with tax. I think that's a shitton better deal than $630 for a Neo.

As much as I love my one S this is true, Xbox is never going to catch up, Sony won that war long ago, too much momentum is lost. Sony would have to pull of a OG XB1 level disaster to make that happen again
Optical is old and depreciated.
HDMI provides lossless formats like DTS-HD MA, Dolby TrueHD, DTS:X and Dolby Atmos.
It's not up to Sony to keep providing ports for legacy formats. Should the PS4 have AV and Scart ports for people with older hardware?

TVs that actually support the UHD Premium specs to display HDR correctly, are quite expensive in decent sizes. For example, i spent 2300 Euro on a 60 inch Samsung this week.

Usually just for internal sources (apps, digital cable/satellite using internal decoder), not for plugged-in sources/pass-through.
You'll have top go back through the thread I suppose, there was a very clear shot of the embeded logos somewhere.

Like I did build a new PC but choose to use my old VGA Monitor while my new PC only have HDMI and DisplayPort video output.
I just bought a cheap conversor... it is 2016.

The design is a bit of a letdown considering how cool the OG PS4 looks. The textured plastic looks a bit cheap, but the slimmer form factor is nice even if it's not dramatically smaller. It's a bit of a shame it got leaked though.
The NEO is rumoured to be launching in Mid November now.

I'm expecting them to stay quiet then do the whole "for the few of you who haven't seen it" joke at the event. They've still got to announce a price, release date and potentially any new features we don't know about.

Now, I don't speak Chinese, but ran the guy's post about the psp through a few different translators until I came up with something that made sense. This comes from the guy who leaked some bits on the slim, it sounds like he is on the production line at foxxcon working with boxes and cases.
Anyway, this source now seems quite legit, it's a matter of getting a good translation of what exactly he meant.
Something about a psp camera, mobile phone, or something they've dedicated a few production lines to, according to a senior employee he works with?
There are different translations coming from everything I try:
1) psp-like device
2) psp-like mobile phone
3) psp camera for a phone
4) psp camera for new device
Anyway, this source now seems quite legit, it's a matter of getting a good translation of what exactly he meant.
