This programme is such a lot of fun. The action sequences are really good, the humour is very good and I bloody love the soundtrack. Also, Zarkon is a really good villain.

Cool. Glad its on the 20th too, I can watch it all day while avoiding Chump's inauguration.
Just finished season 1. Absolutely love this show. In my opinion it's both a fantastic modern adaptation of Voltron and up to the high quality bar of western anime set by shows like Avatar: The Last Airbender.
My only issue with season 1 was the Balmera arc that had too much action at the expense of character development and humor.
The last two episodes were just amazing. The creative team certainly has the skill to go full on Gurren Lagann crazy if they so choose down the road. I hope they do!

Just in time for Season 2, I managed to get all the Legendary Lion figures.

Gotta disagree on this, the music isn't great and it desperately needs the original Voltron formation music. The current music is completely forgettable, has none of the epic vibe of the original.

I saw some Voltron stuff at Target today and remembered that this show existed. I wanted to check it out when it came out, but I never got around to it. I just watched the first 3 episodes and I am pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed it. I hope the quality maintains throughout the season.

Just finished Season One. Really dug the show, looking forward to the next season. Pretty cool that I only have to wait a few days.
If Shiro dies I wonder if they'll have the Galra that deactivated the forcefield become a new Paladin? I suspect he was one of the old ones like Zarkon and it'd be pretty interesting to see one of the Galra on the team.

I honestly don't see how the one this thread has could be topped. Also, I don't see why we wouldn't just keep talking about the show here. It's not like there are hundreds of pages of discussion to wade through like the shows that actually need a seasonal topic refresh.
Good point. I'm gonna probably just take the easy way out and ask a mod to add (Season 2 now available!) or something to the end of the thread.

Watched the first episode and it's a good one. This is one of my favourite programmes on at the moment. Netflix is goddamn killing it right now.

Awesome. So are we looking at 11 episodes every 6 months, in theory? Is there a plan for a set number of episodes/seasons, as in is there a general story arc mapped out already? I realise some of this might not be stuff you can talk about. Love the show though!

I'll take this as Netflix ordering that amount, checking critical/audience reaction plus popularity, and will consider more episodes if the show is doing well.
