I think the chose Zombi U since one of Ubisoft's first games was Zombi.
Yep. Somebody made a nice post about that yesterday.
Also, of course, in the end U become a Zombi.
It's a multiple level thing.

I'm not sure what you mean by that. There are jaggies, do you mean they are cleaned up?
No dynamic lighting or shadowing. No 3D space particles. Christ the main character does not even have a shadow there.
Also lets show how the game looks most of the time.

of course; You got nothing on PGR3 though. That game was pure hotness and you know it.
Now I've made myself sad that there are no project gotham racing games anymore. Imagine if it was a launch title for the next Xbox, sigh.
The game looks great; that indoor environmental they showed in the GT demo looked better than Dues Ex; I could put up gifs and screenshots, but it will only lead to pointless arguments; I mean, I feel you, lolHonestly, I don't think this graphics talking will do a damn thing, so can we focus on what matters more? The concepts in the game - sonar, scanning, pick-axes to the face, shaking off, zombifying your face, etc. - will give this game its audience.
The concept is great, especially the use of the controller. Long-term motivation might be a bit meh but I'll buy it. Rock solid launch game if you ask me. Graphically it looks good. Not great but good.
of course;
but are we expecting Wii U launch titles to match the jump we had from PS2/Xbox to PS3/360; I mean, put into consideration that a PS3 currently costs $250 and Wii U will launch probably below 300; while PS2 was like $150 and PS3 was $600 when launched.
I'm actually really interested in this. I thought the demo looked great, and the whole "get bitten once, you die" is interesting. As well as the fact that you immediately gain control of a different survivor and then kill the previous character you controlled. Very interesting stuff.
After 7 years?
Yes.
they had it for the sniper section in the gameplay trailer, but I think that was about it;After aiming with the wiimote i cant go back to dual analogs
yesJust watched the GTTV gameplay... wait, so this is a roguelike?
Well this looks pretty good!
I only wish they have some sort of "Game pad aiming" included.
After aiming with the wiimote i cant go back to dual analogs
open world with missions watching gameplay demo.
I expect it to have a sleep mode, checkpoints would make no sense at all in such a concept.ha, no checkpoints. Great.

Wat?
I dunno, Source (which I like) has a very distinct clearly outdated look to it that few games can hide for me even on PC where I can run most very well and supersample them and stuff (maybe Portal 2 is the only one that hid its flaws well and it's a game with very particular environment styles where the engine drawbacks aren't as prominent). I didn't get any similar vibe from this, it seems to be a more modern engine closer to something like UE than Source. But we've seen so little of it, maybe it's not, I dunno. Why are you cross posting his bullshit? That isn't even a final character in L4D. Nor the witch. Nor any backround that I can remember. It's either an early alpha shot that didn't represent the final game, or some fandom pick. He sloppily went to google search, typed in L4D, and picked the ugliest screen they had (and because he never played the game, didn't realize how wrong it was).
So far, ZombiU has been the busiest kiosk at the Nintendo booth.
^^It's got nice lighting. Models aren't so strong. But for something that's probably not had a larger budget and much dev time on a new console, I don't think it's anything to be ashamed of.

Anyway. NO CHECKPOINTS?! Omg, WiiU doesn't have saving current gen saving functions, Nintendo is going backwards to the days of NES where if you die you have to start from the beginning, and they pretend it's a feature!
Well not to really chime in on this debate but I put over 100 hours into L4D2 at max settings (PC) and it's not a looker, that's for sure. Source has one thing going for it though: Due to low requirements it performs absolutely rock solid if you have a middling PC. It doesn't look very "modern" though in terms of effects. Need better vid for comparison in terms of what Zombie U has to offer. Why are you cross posting his bullshit? That isn't even a final character in L4D. Nor the witch. But enough gfx talk, let's talk about the concept. Missions could actually be a cool way to spice up the gameplay. Do we know more?
This game was the most amazing demonstration of the Wii U pad. Not sure if the trailer is real gameplay. It is too bad that I won't get a chance to play it since I don't have a full on reason to pay $350 or whatever for just this title.
2 things I'm worried about Zombie U:
1 - Remember Red Steel? A 3rd-party game, that in theory, should prove how awesome could be the Wiimote gameplay? I hope, this time, Ubisoft don't blew up.
Gfx are servicable, I will have a competent PC at any time anyway so I know where to get my gfx whore fix.
The concept sounds very interesting though, from what I've seen at first I've immediately written it off but they could really have something here. My only fear would be to get burned out fast, I hope they spice things up going from one survivor to another in terms of zombies, weapons and different parts of London.
I expect it to have a sleep mode, checkpoints would make no sense at all in such a concept.
Luckily enough, we'll most likely get some written impressions in blogs in some hours. And this time, it's almost impossible to fuck up the controls.

2 - Nintendo actually PROMOTE games like as Wii U flagship titles and not only a runner-up to a casual-friendly console like Wii was. From what we saw on E3, that's most likely what'll turn out.
There is a true gameplay video in this very thread
There have been questions as to whether that video was real in-game gameplay or just conceptual. I guess if it is in-game, I'm happy. The game looks awesome, and the concept and gameplay are amazing.
I can't justify a purchase of the system with it quite yet though.
