It looks really great. I'm glad to see you guys go all out with the crazy weapons and action.

I still miss the old art style, though.

Looks all right, the special weapons/powers will probably be fun. But I have to say I liked the character design in the original trailer better.

Oh yeah and that song didnt do this video any favors. =/

The weapons do seem kind of cool. Everything else seems like "360 Game: The Game." Generic bad-ass heroes - check. Generic soldier-dude enemies - check. Generic music and visuals - check. Generic "heroes walk away while shit explodes behind them" moment - check.

Need to try a demo or see something in game. You guys need to show more of this and fast. Probably the least interested I've been in an Insomniac game in a while. I wish you guys the best as you have a lot of cynics with this game. I hope you guys nail the game play.

also, you might've noticed the stacks that contain three balls of Fuse... which of course go bouncing and exploding everywhere if you hit them... they may be familiar to folks who have sampled our previous works

GT.TV in less than an hour has lots of footage of raw gameplay

Animations look rough. Visually it still looks pretty bland sorry jstevenson. :p Doesn't help I recently played through Spec Ops The Line. That game has fantastic and colorful art design( and coupled with a "mature" storyline to boot) You can't really form an opinion on the gameplay based on the trailer, will wait for the GT thing.

I agree, I loved the original art style.

The gameplay/weapons look nice, but I don't know if this something I'll run out and grab day 1.

Right on the dot. Looks bland, but probably very interesting to play.

The special stuff seemed very color muted and I dislike that.

I really wish they stuck with the art direction from Overstrike. Just rewatched the trailer for Overstrike and it was awesome and more colorful than what Fuse is. This game looks cool enough for me to play it though.

Hopefully we get a postmortem that talks about this game's development process, if nothing else. There has to be a story there.

The co-op mechanics and weapond do seem interesting.

But the military seriousness of it all has pretty much killed any previous hype for this game. Will just wait to hear reviews on release and decide whether or not it's worth it for the gameplay alone.

what in the hell did they do to Overstrike. Overstrike was one of my most anticipated games with what looked to be fun co op gameplay with each person taking a unique role, with a cast of characters that were goofy but fun. I mean you had stuff like the commander guy run up to melee someone and the gun broke. From the trailer it seemed like it would be a co op shooter with humor like Ratchet and Clank.

Now I see Fuse.... and all I see there is a generic action packed shooter which doesn't seem to stand out at all. Now I won't completely write it off, but if the goofyness of Overstrike doesn't show back up soon I likely won't touch Fuse at all as it looks like another run of the mill third person shooter now :/

I sure hope that is true... the original overstrike trailer was a ton of fun, heck it was fun again as I just rewatched it. This Fuse trailer was just a big borefest for me. EVERYONE does generic action trailers for shooters anymore, they do nothing for me, and I know I am not alone there. So hopefully the story/characters stuff you have coming up will resell the game to me. I want to like the game, I want to want to buy it but boy did that Fuse trailer turn me off.

I like the weapons and it seems the Year of the Bow is going to extend into next year. I really wanted to see the game with the original art style.

I'm surprised they take this direction for the trailer, with the premise, I would think they would make a trailer introducing the characters and show their ability and guns, like show cloak, various use of that wall gun, etc.

this one didn't look that great for selling the game, the wall gun looks very gimmicky in the trailer, and it also didn't show the function of crystal gun very well, just showing a single enemy trapped and explode like that is not interesting, I'd like to know the application in game, I assume it'll be great for crowd control and I think they should show that.

and various other questionable design decision for that trailer. Insomniac usually make great trailer so I was disappointed to see this one so forgettable. also, I really don't care for the music choices.

Yeah not sure. Hope it turns out great as I loved R3 and IG in general usually.

Worst music for a trailer ever though.

Man it's crazy how this game went from being one of my most anticipated titles a year ago to something I now feel indifferent about :( Did Insomniac say why they changed the art style? It was one of the main appeals IMO.

If this game is still meant to be humorous you guys should've went with a parody of the big bro shooters with insanely over the top action set to cool guys don't look at explosions.

That's what I said basically. None of this CG stuff is doing it for me. Great quality though but the music choice doesn't invite me. Waiting on the game play.

even resistance look more interesting than this, based on the trailer I mean. like jsteven said, this is action sizzle reel, which is such a weird choice to show first, I assume we supposed to get story trailer since the teaser we got is a briefing for a mission, this trailer didn't even introduce the characters
