Oh my gosh, that Tails Gets Trolled webcomic had me rolling. It's one of those good bad webcomics. Plus, it's LONG. Lol. In-depth story and character development and everything.

My favorite line:

"THEY CAN'T TROLL YOU IF THEY'RE DEAD." - Shadow the Hedgehog

I freaking loved those comics back in the day... When I was 12. Looking at it now, it seems pretty insipid. I do remember the first few comics weren't that great, but there were hundreds iirc. I definitely remember laughing really hard at a few of them at least.

I´m still not completely convinced that Tails Gets Trolled isn´t simply well-done satire.

On the other hand, Sonichu wasn´t either. There´s something about both of these products that just makes them too weird to be deliberately created to be bad.

Well since I'm on my phone at work and I'd rather save yourself the atrocities, I'll just mention the TWO defunct webcomics on Captainn.net Haven't been to the site in ages, most of it's gone now last time I checked. But man when I think bad webcomics, three are the first that come to my mind (aside from the popular targets like CAD and VG Cats)

First one was a terrible sprite comic about a bunch of random kids going to video land. It's pretty straight forward for the first few strips, but then it just devolves into some kind of random story that makes NO SENSE whatsoever. I want to think it's some kind of RP done between the site owner and his friends with a bunch of winks, and nods and in-jokes but the problem was it was just terrible. Not to mention the piss poor English (I'd give it a break if the site owner and creator wasn't a native English speaker, but he was). He had a strange obsession with saying things like "You stop now"

Second one was a much more shorter "doujinshi". What burns me about this one is that it's an actual re-imagining of the Captain N cartoon with a couple of neat ideas, but everything else about it sucks. Blander than shit artstyle with terrible depictions of the cast where the artist/author went absolutely bonkers with the shipping.

Seems silly to sound so butthurt about something based off of Captain N of all things, but eh, I have a soft spot for him and it really is terrible. I'm surprised it's not mentioned in that Bad Webcomic Wiki linked in the first page.

It's like some people just think anything can be a joke... I blame it on too many laugh-track TV shows. Laughing at your own jokes in an attempt to make others laugh doesn't work via text on the internet.

I used to make a lot of those sprite comics on the official nintendo forums and gamefaqs back in like.... 2003? I was pretty young, and they were as bad as all these other ones

I've never played an Ace Attorney game, but I found the strip really funny anyway. Now that I know what it's a reference to, it's even funnier.

I've drawn 2 video game related comic strips written by my wife, but I won't subject GAF to them. Lol.

I don't see what relevance the release date of the first game has either; it was funny then, and it has becoming increasingly ridiculous. Is there an statute of limitations on how old something is to make a joke about it? How dare anyone parody games from the 80 and 90's like Mario and Sonic!

You don't like the comic, that's all fine; there's no need for you to give some straw-grasping justification for your opinion. It just sounds like you wanted to make the author look ignorant for not knowing the series for as long as you do (and that's probably not even true).

It can be somewhat hit and miss and his updating schedule makes even VGCatz look like a regular comic, but I have a soft-spot for Fanboys. The faces he draws are just too good.

He just began another hiatus right in the middle of one of his character/not funny story arcs though so eh....

As for the worst? CAD probably takes it just for the sheer level of effort put in and how long its been running. I mean a lot of the bad comics posted are pretty damn cringeworthy, but you can tell they're amateur/juvenile attempts. CAD is just on a whole 'nother level.

The thing that bothers me most, is that I probably still have a CAD volume book somewhere, those signed ones from ordering it early -_-
I wish I could claim youthful ignorance but surely that wasn't until I was like, 18-20

I used to visit to frequent a forum where God Mode's creator was also a regular. Everyone would say relatively safe criticisms when he started the strip and then talk stupid amount of shit through PMs or on IRC. It did not feel right at the time, but looking at his stuff years later, I still don't know if honesty was the right approach.

Dorkly's video game comics are vile. They're the most generic, populist "comics" ever. They identify the week's current internet bitching trend and cater directly to it.

Bad: CAD, VG Cats now, Dueling Analogs when it was still a comic.

Decent: Penny Arcade now, Corpse Run, 8-Bit Theater end, 2P Start.

Good: Awkward Zombie, BitF, Penny Arcade and VG Cats years ago, 8-Bit Theater start.
