With 212k concurrent? Only if the PS4 version sells in the tens of millions, or if we have a hugely diverging view of what a "tiny fraction" is.Won't PC numbers be a tiny fraction of PS4's?
depends on region, btw. For example, in Russia and CIS countries price is $34.99
and the same on GOG
There isnt enough space on the internet to explain whats wrong with me.
Game locks up my PC so...its the worst game I ever bought. Not sure what else to say.
Sean knew the game sucked on PC and released it anyway to make the $$$. Shame on him.
I wonder if your tune would be the same if it was PS4 Exclusive and never coming to PC...
cool, nice to see people getting money back from boring games
You didn't get the message, did you?
People (NA folks) are going to bed at these hours, and it shows from the Dota 2 charts.
Haha pretty much.
Steam reviews are at mostly negative now.
hm, interesting
Elite Dangerous
NMS
Whoa. Elites been out for what, 2-3 years?
I'd have preferred that to be honest. I have all the consoles, though having a high end PC usually means its always best to buy that format for a multiplat game.
If the PC version wasnt up to spec then just delay x months.
I was anticipating this game a ton, so I would have bought the PS4 version to play and likely been happy with it.
Seems to be blowing up on PS4 too and it's second on Twitch, so I imagine it's a huge success.
Hmmm, as usual the steam reviews are mostly shit. I was looking for a good funny one but it's mostly either crash complaints or technical issues, which are all valid btw.
But this one in particular
" Their 18 quinquillion planets are just a bunch of re-color of the same assets, randomly generated with different combinations. Their representation of the universe is inaccurate, every single planet is inhabited with life and/or vegetation, there are no gas giants, no ring systems, no barren worlds, no actual moons, and no variation of star types. But i'm not here to talk about that stuff you can easily confirm by watching some gameplay. "
Just a small section. But he only had 3 hours played. And it's got 1600/2100~ people marking it as helpful. I just don't see how a review with that short engagement time is ever going to be helpful.
I guess some people make up their minds that quick though, and I won't say that is wrong.
Man, just imagine, all those people who have no idea what to do and can't see other people. They must be miserable!
Judging by the steam user score on steam spy being in the low 40's, I'm sure you're not the only one. It's a feature that you can take advantage of, so do it.
Whilst many people are enjoying No Man's Sky, we are tracking several issues, and we’re working hard to resolve them as quickly as possible.
1. We have updated our support page with some common issues and workarounds http://www.no-mans-sky.com/2016/08/pc-support/
2. We have updated the auto response from support@hellogames.co.uk to help suggest common fixes, and help gather better info
3. We have filed tickets for everyone who has mailed support and are responding to them in turn.
4. We have gotten back to a lot of people already, who were trying to run the game significantly below min spec.
5. Additionally your bug reports have shown us a handful of key issues we are working to resolve
We’re pulling an all nighter to get through as many issues as soon as possible. Please try to be nice
We have been working to get back to people on our three most common crashes on start up:
• Running the game with an Intel card. This is not supported
• No Man's Sky is an OpenGL 4.5 game, and requires latest drivers on most cards, please update
• VC++ Redist 2010 was not included by default. We have updated in a patch, please restart
We are going to create an experimental branch with hot fixes for these most common known issues:
• Shader Cache issue – means that framerate is initially stuttering on some cards. Whilst it resolves itself over time (~1 hour of play), we will fix this issue in a patch.
• SSE 4 – for CPUs that do not support SSE 4, it is causing the game to crash on boot (some of these area technically below min spec, but we don’t want it to crash!)
• Mouse controls jitter on foot – this caused by a combination of certain resolution and GFX card. A fix is in progress.
Some players who have filed a support ticket will begin to be directed towards the experimental branch whilst we test solutions to these issues.
If your issues are not listed above please do mail support@hellogames.co.uk
Here are some things to be aware of:
We’ve brought a new QA team on board today (larger than the entire Hello Games team!). This will complement the existing Sony QA team.
We are working on fixes for the most critical issues, which will be in a patch in the near future.
We will be moving to a ticketed support system next week, and have hired someone to manage this starting Monday.
Just messing around. I was anticipating this game so much, so to not be able to even play it ... sucks. If the PC version isnt up to scratch just delay it, I would have been fine buying the PS4 version if that was the only one available any time soon. Feels weird that this was one of my most anticipated games of the year and I cant even play it.
Ya I mean numbers may nosedive soon due to buy-to-try refundsWith 212k concurrent? Only if the PS4 version sells in the tens of millions, or if we have a hugely diverging view of what a "tiny fraction" is.
Bad practices being rewarded, as per usual in the gaming industry.

Wait 7 days to die actually worked for people?I'm kind of surprised people think this kind of game would be refunded in the first place.
It's not like there isn't a vast history of PC gamers buying survival titles with mixed (or even actively bad) receptions by the millions.
DayZ: 3,439,433
Rust: 4,157,884
7 Days To Die: 1,541,487
Don't Starve Together: 4,637,945 (It has a better reception these days, but took off at launch when it received especially onerous reviews.)
ARK: Survival Evolved: 3,561,307
H1Z1: 2,472,741
The Forest: 2,169,353
This list certainly isn't exhaustive.
Lmao I actually laughed this time.Says the guy who bought and championed Evolve on launch.

So they'll make settlements from Fallout 4?Well, yeah. They've planned to add base building into the game in the near future. More other might also come later.
However, will that make NMS an early access game?
And it looks like they're on top of the tech issues. Here's the official word:

My guess is > 1 million copies combined (PS4 + PC)Any idea how much this means the game sold?

i think that's a mistake, there's apparently a really strange GUI for changing the game's options where you have to click and hold the buttons that lots of people have been unable to figure out
...bad practices?
