You didn't own a PS3 Slim, did you? The disc eject button is smack in the middle of the slot loading drive. They're no stranger to crappy button design on slim models.

Current looks better imo, dont like how round it is, prefer gloss also, I know others prefer matte looks.

I think it's fake. The eject button placement does not make sense. If you press eject, and don't move your finger quick enough, wouldn't your finger block the disc?
Also, isn't the perspective off in the picture below? It does not seem like this version of the slim has the front slope that the other photos have (and the original PS4 has). This looks like it is the same shape as an older Apple TV.
I take back what I said. I forgot about the PS3 Slim's eject button. I was also able to take a photo of a PS4 and make it seem like it might not have a slope.

Most likely a result of the smaller size. Maybe 2 usb ports side by side simply could not fit because of the components behind them?

Besides a Slim PS4 isn't really getting massive website hits. A possible NX reveal is way more interesting and driving web traffic.

The guys niavety seems off for someone who has got hold of one of these things.
The console itself looks ok. Id like to see a review of how the console runs. If its whisper quiet and its really cheap (around £200) id be up for buying one.
One S certainly wins this round on design.

Actually I wouldn't mind if they kept the eraser shape but got rid of the hamburger gap in between. It's also a place for dust to collect.

I honestly think the PS4 is the nicest looking console i've owned. This looks nice too. its certainly got more character than MS's approach this gen. Which seems to have been inspired by VHS Players.

This new design is small box. There is literally nothing complex about it.

If you didn't disclose that it was recorded, and they didn't agree, you're breaking multiple privacy laws.

Yup. But you do have to agree that Xbox One and S are both very simple and clean looking console. No weird gaps or shape just for sake of it to look different.
Is there any engineering reason behind the gap and eraser shape of PS4? It always looked to me like some kid designed it to make it look futuristic. It does look cool though, but gets boring pretty soon. And has no functional benefit.
I do, and that's exactly why I think PS4 design doesn't qualify in simplistic list.
