Nope, it's sonys fault. They're being anti consumer /sFor the record, we don't know if there were conditions on the deal that PlayStation refuted.
Nintendo and MS have everything to gain.

Yup its amazing. I'm genuinely curious how many people in this thread actually play Minecraft.
IF there was conditions, you think Sony and Nintendo would be offered the same deal?
Sony and MS look at Nintendo as a companion console to theirs, I think they would be more lenient.
For the record, we don't know if there were conditions on the deal that PlayStation refuted.
This. These companies exist to make money, why help out your competitors?
Jesuuuuuuuuuuuus some people are willing to spin so much as not to just concede this is Sony's fault.
The precedent affects a lot more than just Minecraft, plenty of reasons for people to be pissed. This is why Tekken 7 isn't cross play.
Well, I hadn't been in the thread up to now, but which of my 6 Minecraft purchases would you like more information about?
Apple benefits, but Sony loses a competitive advantage? It's not that I agree with it, it's just that Sony is the only one who loses out in this situation. Gamers benefit, MS benefits, Nintendo benefits, Apple benefits. Sony loses a competitive advantage.
Both mobile and Switch are in. I'm not sure this has anything to do with PSNI wouldn't even be surprised if that was part of the reason. PSN needs a massive overhaul. I'm surprised people have been ok with it for so long.
.At this point, Microsoft is the best Nintendo third party by large.
I appreciate that Microsoft and Nintendo were able to make this happen. Which just makes Sony look worse, lol.
yea sure... i am not making excuses for these companies. They dont pay me enough. If Nintendo can do it, Sony sure as hell need to find a way to get it done. For the record, we don't know if there were conditions on the deal that PlayStation refuted.
Didn't they say at some point it was a security issue for them? But yeah, not surprising.
Nintendo just launched a new console and needs every leg up it can get. They have an uphill battle with third parties and securing Minecraft and allowing Crossplay benefits them substantially.
Sony? Not so much. They are the market leader, chances are if you own a PS4 and own Minecraft, you play with other people on PS4, most of your friends also own PS4, etc.
But you know, arrogant Sony and all that.
Whatever "conditions" existed Nintendo seemingly doesn't mind them. Stop making excuses for Sony people

Doesn't that still make it anti consumer? Sure Sony has less to gain than the other two, but I'm pretty sure their Minecraft players would love to have itNope, it's sonys fault. They're being anti consumer /s

Apple benefits, but Sony loses a competitive advantage?
How does this work.
Yeah. Microsoft are anti-consumer when they get third party exclusives, but Sony refusing cross platform networking is ~just business~Sony be like oh no my pride over a positive business decision.
They probably even think ha MS take that we don't care! We are the Market leader anyway lulz.
It doesn't exist in a silo. If they allow Minecraft, other devs ask why they don't get the same treatment. If they are going to have a shitty policy, at least make it a standardThey loose by not having cross platform play. Now PS4's Minecraft is worth less than Minecraft on other platforms, so when you make the decision on where to but this game, you need to take this into account.
I don't understand what they'd loose if allowing cross play.
For the record, we don't know if there were conditions on the deal that PlayStation refuted.
That has no connection to what he's saying...
And to the children who get upset and don't understand why they can't play with their friends who have a PS4On gaming forums
Nintendo doesn't know what the hell they're doing when it comes to online. It wouldn't surprise me if they unknowingly signed their rights away in the clause and have to pay MS 50% of their online revenue for the next twenty years.
Are Sony not the ones that were championed for cross platform play with Rocket League, and Xbox had to play catch up? Not sure what changed. Is it xplay with Xbox that's the problem, or in general... FFXIV still going strong too.
Playing devils advocate, but you seem to be pretty content with the game already, which kind of proves the point that cross play wasn't a make or break feature for you.
Inb4 the excuses.
I want cross platform play to be a thing with many games in the future. Sony once again deciding what's best for their userbase. Market leader syndrome I guess.
FYI, cross-platform on PS3 is confirmed. It's only PS4. #4theplayers
Jez Corden just tweeted the reason why
I'm still waiting for FFXIV on Xbox one
Oh wait
Sony is the only one who does this shit

Because sony is market leader and they gain nothing by cross-platform play, actually probably the opposite.
Why are some posters here SO defensive about these things? It's like Sony isn't capable of doing anything wrong to them.
I love Sony and PlayStation but come on. There are some things that all companies can do better on.
