Ah, I see. Missed that before, but really intriguing!
I'm hoping there is some giant ancient super war machine boss that towers over the environment to dwarf even the largest of the normal machines that you have to destroy chunks of, climb and attack weak spots up close and avoid all manner of crazy attacks. There is the uhhh thing on the mountain we've seen vague glimpses of but who know's what that is, could be a crazy base or something for all we know right now.
To be fair the GTA series has never been ahead of the curve when it comes to visual fidelity.

The most interesting part of the talk was when John was saying that the dinos sometimes attack each other, but they dont have a predator-prey relationship. I NEED TO KNOW WHY.
Also another interesting tidbit - John hasn't seen anyone guess the mystery behind the dinos. Says he's seen some really clever ideas, but no one has guessed it yet.

Going by that shot of these two going at it, it looks like one of them has been infected by the corrupter machine.
On a random site note we can see one of the robotic birds picking up a dead watcher, looks like a spear in its side. Its interesting in I guess the machines will clean up the dead in the environment.

I kinda like this because they're robots they have no predator prey relationship, I mean what does a robot get out of eating another bot? From what I see, corrupted robots attack uncorrupted robots. Could be an interesting dynamic if a bunch of corrupted bots and a bunch of uncorrupted bots go at it.

The way the snow kicks up just looks so good. Its not even a very elaborate effect in of itself but combined with the lighting that you can almost see the snow crystals in the crisp old air. Amazing stuff.

That part looks so much better than the rest of the game that it must be cg tbh.
It might but a cutscene but I don't think its an entirely pre rendered CG scene.

Probably Aim, Draw, Shoot. The game just seems to have a very quick draw speed.

Gameplay wise not much. They talked a bit about dungeons and the GG guys wouldn't confirm anything. They mostly talked about how they came up with the world, designed things like the tribes and machines and mostly talked creative things.

Oh well we had the sitdown with kojima and hermen the day before. That was pretty cool. Especially the whole source code thing
They showed tons of concept art actually just no new footage.

The graphics look good but not showing much in the way of gameplay just a few months out from release is a little bit concerning. They didn't have a whole lot of detail on that front over the past couple of days. I understand not giving everything away but they sure aren't showing much. It just makes me leery since Guerilla doesn't really have any history of making games in this genre.

But they did show a lot of gameplay vids at tgs and other previous events. As for the no experience in the genre, they hired a lot of ex-rpg veterans for this project
It's been at every Sony event since its announcement along with gameplay demos. What are you on about?

They're totally different genre. You can't compare them.

For the booth with all the demo stations, I asked the staff there and they said they were all normal ones not the Pro. They said in the Pro booth with all the sofas, Horizon was running on Pro.
But man, in addition to the graphics, the animation was just top notch, from the way each dino moves to the way Aloy crawls through the bushes or slides down a hill. The controls just all felt right from the responsiveness to the aiming to the movement. This was the one demo at PSX where I felt sad when the staff told me the time was up.
I was also surprised how the AI was sometimes pretty relentless. I had run into a small pack of the dino that Sony has an actor dressed up as, and once they aggroed me they would not relent for a long time. Three of them teamed up on me kind of like the raptors in Jurassic park, and even after I had jumped off this sort of cliff like boulder they had followed me but not by jumping down but running down the side around to the bottom.

We still don´t know if there is a fighting versus other humans system in the game?.
One of the trailers shows Aloy in a fight with a Scorpion/Mantis controller tribesman,so I'm guessing yes.
Was going to basically post this. RDR looked nice, but it wasn't some technical marvel, it just was a good looking game. RDR was all about it's writing and gameplay, which is still one of the GOATs. Hopefully horizon can come close to that.
