*what it looks like in your head*

*what it really looked like*

Honestly though, TvC and MvC3 share a lot of design sensibilities, surely was because both were made by Eighting. And MvCI is not.

Concidering it was on the Wii and how it looked in motion, it actually looks great.

Same for MVC3 in the Ps3/360, that's why im still hoping for Stylish shaders and filters on MVCI

I was talking about visually, I wasn't talking about how the game ran on consoles. Hell I didn't even know about that article.

Yeah, and I'm saying, visually, I hope T7 can hold its fidelity AND run @ 60fps.

I think MvC:I looks decent, but I also realize character models aren't going to be as complex as SF/IJ2/T7 when you've got 2v2, full screen supers, infinity gems, and all the shit that entails going on if you want the game to run at 60fps.

Launch day balance is irrelevant in this day & age - you can simply adjust the game's balance post-launch. Almost every major fighting game in the last few years has done so. But just to give you an idea about industry workings - rushed games tend to come out at the end of fiscal years, not at the onset of one of the busiest quarters in the year.

If it feels rushed because this game didn't exist in the public eye 6+ months ago, thats one thing. But Capcom has taken to a fast-turnaround for announcement->release, which is a move made popular with Fallout 4. The game is going to have a big roster, tons of modes - I don't know what else you're expecting from it other than graphical fidelity on par with Tekken 7 (an impossibility given the consoles its targeting). It feeling rushed is a product of your imagination.
Both Tekken 7 & MvCI are PS4/XB1/PC, unless the latter is getting a Switch port.

Marvel 3 already has that with stuff like She Hulk, Amaterasu and Dante.

But for some characters it's not an easy fix.

It also predates MVC3, Sasquatch had a move that activates like that in the Darkstalkers series and so did Felicia, in fact that move is in MVC3 as well.

not to mention down down attack is not different from the original motion for scorpion's spear.

He's gonna be the main goddamn character of the story mode you goon
Wait is that confirmed? Or are we just speculating?

Granted Sigma is a villain here but X has done nothing but get curb stomped and while I'm sure he will get at least one cool moment sometime I haven't seen them say he is the lead of the game over Ryu or Iron Man.

So far I've only seen him being owned everytime lol

Good grief you guys, have you forgotten the themes of the original Megaman X? The whole story was about X being a weakling who unlocks his potential along the way and is able to surpass Zero and stand up to Vile and Sigma.

Cool, I posted a suspicion earlier about the CE but I just saw the official press release from a few pages back that says the CE comes with the Deluxe Edition of the game, so it will have the costumes. Now someone just needs to put up the pre-order for it and I'll jump all over it.

Capcom said that he plays a big part in the game's story.

Claiming it as a red herring/story beat.

X is going to get beat up and made to look like a wimp (par the course, given his treatment in his own damn series at times), before he gets a heroic epiphany moment and then starts actually shining.

Maybe with the Ultimate Armor as a Level 3 Hyper.

I'd have chosen other characters instead of Sigma and Rocket Racoon. Ultron Sigma instead looks cool, but this awful artstyle they are forcing in all Marvel games is crap and makes the game look super ugly, like the Injustice games.

Same goes with using the movie designs instead of the classic ones. Marvel and Udon artists should stay away from the Capcom games and let Capcom choose their art style and designs (as they did from X-Men COTA to MvsC2), and to hire Shinkiro for the poster.

Other than that, I like the other chosen characters, and to see that there is an arcade mode and a story mode.
Rocket's a household name now, no way he'll get left out.

This is just showing off how insanely powerful Ultron Sigma is. Everyone is getting owned.

Well he was revealed together with Ryu for Capcom side and has a prominent presence in the trailers so far. And he's the polar opposite of Sigma who has a leading bad guy role. Furthermore, he also has a diorama figure. But like you said, he was getting owned a lot in the trailers so far xD

So when are we getting character based trailers? Because that's what I really want to see. Wesker and Sentinel were so hype.

IntelliHeath

As in "Heathcliff"
Where did the talk of them getting rid of motions come from again? I'm confused.

I want to see how people would feel if Capcom nix dragon punch input and replacing it with simple input like down down button to catering to the casuals. Not many fighting games have the input nowadays, like Injustice.

I'm surprised that there isn't a "Beta invite" pre-order bonus like they did in SFV. It would be nice to see the game and how
bad
the netcode is.

Teabag mixups will be even more legit!

I have to say...I always found it really weird how both MVC3 and this game seem hellbent on the whole "Capcom universe" being a thing.

Like, the Marvel universe makes sense because those characters have always existed within the same continuity with each other, but it's just really weird in Capcom's case because its implying that Mega Man, Resident Evil, Street Fighter, Devil May Cry, Okami, etc all co-exist together in the same world. It's just really odd to me.

Speaking of which, was that a Nova Strike he attemped against Ultron-Sigma?

Some of you guys are gonna die when you hear about the control scheme/gameplay mechanics.

#casuals

Good.

I'm all for whatever they do to grow the base. The reality is that the aging hardcore FGC can no longer support AAA fighting games by themselves; not when "success" with that group is capped at like 2-3 million copies, at very best.

The game is going to have to be a lot more like Mortal Kombat X than Marvel vs. Capcom 3 in order to make an impact, no matter what the "when's mahvel" crowd wants.

I think that would be more difficult to do during combos where you might have to crouch/stand for the particular normal you want to come out (if this is a 3 button scheme).

Perhaps he will be a loser hero for us to relate to.

At least he's not a Bad Box Art

Necalli in SFV was hyped up to be the big boogeyman that fucked Ryu and stole the Satsui no Hado.

Then he jobbed to E-V-E-R-Y-O-N-E.

Time to get serious!

Collectors Edition went up for pre-order at EB Games in Canada and we are getting it for $149 but it does not include the game.

Is this the same for the US?

So like Injustice? It feels like that series resonates with non-FGC players.
