I really loved her portrayal of the Countess on American Horror Story. Equal parts sensual and heartless. I think she'd make a great Ivy. She's got to be a bit nutty.

I think Bryce Dallas Howard could also make a good Ivy, but it's hard for me to picture her as anything but cute/girl next door.

I think that Kerry Washington would make a good Catwoman. She's about the right age for Batfleck and looks fantastic. I think that WB/DC will avoid making all of the Sirens white, and Ivy's red hair is more iconic than anything associated with Catwoman's physical appearance.

I feel like where casting is involved, the best casting decisions always turn out to be the ones that prove to be the most surprising and left-field. In contrast, it's always the obvious choices I can't really get myself excited about.

The problem with these casting threads is that people can often find themselves only casting actors based on a very narrow overview of their physical appearance in regards to how much they look like the comic book character they are being cast as to start with. For example, suggesting Bryce Dallas Howard for Ivy just because she has red hair, regardless of whether or not she would be the right actress for that sort of role.

i'm also a bit worried since he littlered suicide squad with sleezy fan service shots of harley - not exactly the best guy to direct the first all-female ensemble cbm. why not give it to another female director? i'm hoping a rumour suggesting that he's not supposed to be directing sirens anymore that a gaf poster has mentioned before (they had a cartoon dracula avatar?) turns out to be true.

Considering what we know about studio interference and trailer house editing I'd say it's fair that Suicide Squad isn't exactly indicative of Ayer as a director.

Watch End of Watch and Training Day. Dude can be a great writer/director when given the time. Nolan himself probably couldn't have stopped Suicide Squad being the mess it was with the time given.

Guys, actors are capable of dying their hair, you know? You don't need to limit drastically limit the pool down to red haired actresses for Ivy just because they're already red heads. This reminds me of every casting thread for Lex Luthor which seems to primarily consist of either Bryan Cranston, Billy Zane or Larry David just because they're actors who happen to already be bald.
