If we get 16 teams, then only way to get in is if someone drops out before draft or don't pay before deadline.

Honestly I think it seems like the best way, everyone has a eqaul chance at the beginning of waivers.

This is why (in my opinion) an auction-style draft is better with more than 12 people as the guys/gals in the back don't get screwed, but auction is a little different for people not used to it and I just want to play in a GAF league so I don't care that much ha ha.

Eh I won't go that far, I think it's plenty fair. Especially in a snake format draft, if you have a bad team it's pretty much because you drafted a bad team. Most the official rankings are just opinions, do your own good research and you'll be fine. I prefer picking at the back end/ middle most of the times.

I drafted awfully last season. So glad I went with the likes of Drew Brees, Shonn Greene, and Antonio Gates in the early rounds. What a noob

I like the snake draft. Auction draft is complicated for beginners.

Btw, what is everyone opinion on Standard vs. PPR?

I've only ever done standard so naturally would feel more comfortable throwing away my money that way but if the pros think PPR is the way to go I'm down with it.

I never did ppr, but I am ok with that.. I would assume with 16 people ppr may be better since you can pick up a garbage slot receiver and still get pts.

I've been reading draft advice and all that good stuff and find myself suddenly aware that a 16-team league is going to make this draft a lot more interesting than my past ones (never been a league bigger than 10-teams).

EDIT: Am I buggin or is it only .1 pts per field goal from 30+ yards out? Why so low?

That is what it looks like when I look at the scoring, but per the OP it is supposed to be .1pt per yard from 30+

Yeah, I did my first 16 person league last year. It's a good challenge that's for sure.

No idea if this is set or not, but if you go to Draft Central and then click Draft Results, it shows the following order:

The Gloryholes
Cam On My Face
PK Boosters
The Starmen
Sangreal06's Team
Foxhound
Bae Pls
employed by M$
Heywood Jablome
Hand Me Downs
The Butt Fumblers
UK Fins
Finkle is einhorn
countblak-ula
The Seaward
Taco Mama

Thanks guys for bring it to my attention. Yahoo doesn't allow increments scoring like the other positions. I changed it back to the standard scoring. No negative points.

I think it always does it random once you start the draft though. I might be mistaken.

It is set. I randomized it.

I don't like finding out minutes before draft what order you are. Now everyone can start strategizing who they will pick knowing their draft order way in advance.

Week 17 for a finale really sucks. So many starters sitting it takes the fun out of it.

Also a good way to combat people who give up. Either charge 5 to 10 dollars per loss or raise the league fee up front and give back 5 to 10 for every win a team gets. Worked great in my league last year

Yeah the finale should definitely be week 16. For the love of god please do not raise the amount bishman. I am so poor I can barely afford the current amount.

In another league I was in last year we set aside some funds for a "team player" award. It was funds to be given to someone out of the playoffs, yet continued to be an active manager. It was determined by the commish and served as incentive to keep playing despite being out.
