I'm always amazed this asshat has been around for so long. Was always so embarrassed to live in his district.
Because whatever we spend on putting Tubman on a $20 will almost CERTAINLY plunge us even further into debt.
Pretty much sums up everything wrong with his party at the moment.
Yep, it's what they all say. It boils down to "things made sense when I was 10 years old, and now the world's changing on me waaaahhhh." It's insanely childish.
Can't believe GRRM was asking this guy for advice.
Yea but now the Treasury can just get the art from deviantartThe only real cost that wouldn't have been incurred either way, would be to pay the artist I guess?

That's basically the definition of conservatism though.
Here's what's really happening: This is liberal activism on the part of the president that's trying to identify people by categories, and he's divided us on the lines of groups .... This is a divisive proposal on the part of the president, and mine's unifying. It says just don't change anything .
President Obama's on his way out the door. He's going to do everything he can think of to upset this society and this civilization.
I'm all for replacing the $20 but you leave Abraham Lincoln alone. Best president ever right next to FDR.
I want to see the quote word for word. Not that I don't believe it.
This whole white people business, though, does get a little tired, Charlie. I mean, Id ask you to go back through history and figure out, where are these contributions that have been made by these other categories of people that youre talking about? Where did any other sub-group of people contribute to civilization?
I disagree with changing who's on any of our currencies, barring like... the $2 bill or something.
I wanted to defend that guy though but I clicked that twitter video and I just can't lol. If only he had limited his claim to United States history, then it would be defensible, but as it is he's just delusional and most certainly racist.

Currency is not somehow sacred. It has been changed for all sorts of trivial reasons.
Did you know that prior to the Cold War, 'God' was not actually on our money? Or that there have been multiple people on the 20 other than Tubman and there will be others after she is taken off?
