I think(you'd know better) Misha is cool about the ship.

I'd be kinda weirded out too if people kept pushing me like that :/

Especially since people are also shipping him (as himself) with Misha (who's one of his best friends).

It would be shitty to get real life shipping.

And ugh Real Life shipping is the creepiest, especially with how far people go with it.

The gist of it is that Jensen was at a con and tackled the whole shipping thing big time, he spent maybe twenty minutes basically saying how none of it was true in the nicest way he could. The guy must be sick of these things, when him or Jared got married you had fans flying to where the happy couple was going for their honeymoon.....and to give them a petition about how the two main cast members who play brothers belong together. Not just on the show. In real life. That the wedding is a sham.

No freaking joke.

Anyways, at the end of the whole thing when he basically says how none of it is true he gets handed a script that he and Misha Collins are suppose to read for the pleasure of the audience. Guess what kind of script it was. The poor guy was flabbergasted and was saying how he spent the last such and such time saying it wasn't true and now he was expected to read some lines about his and Cas chracter doing more than eye fucking each other.

Kinda got to feel bad for the guy.

On topic of shipping: it's fun and I don't see why it's bad to ship a lot. I think it gets bad when you start getting heavily involved in fandom wars and taking things personally from creators and other shippers.

Then again, I used to be a part of so many ship wars it was embarrassing the kind of posting you would see. You would have the level headed posters that would respond with facts from each side but were never vicious or rude and then you would have the posters that resort to threats, shaming each others ships, not acknowledging facts, etc.

Shipping is slang for 'relationship'. Basically, when you think two people in a show or book or movie or whatever are perfect for each or would be hot together. It's been going on forever, and people create all sorts of things in support of their 'ship': fanfiction, music videos, art, etc. it's only recently taken the horrible turn of people demanding that their ships be canon like crazy people. Shipping is fun and provides an outlet for women who don't feel that media is aimed at them, which is why most of the people who write fanfiction are women.

That was literally the only ship on the show until Destiel happened. And a lot of the Wincest peeps are SUPER FUCKING BITTER about Destiel being popular, to the point that they attack anyone who likes Cas and attack Misha himself. There's quite a bit of crossover in Wincest fans with the crazy J2 peeps.
