Already posted it in the dc OT thread....

Building on the right is BBC Broadcasting House, Portland Pl, W1A 1AA.

Consider the 1st track central London. ;)

Seems inconclusive. But if it does end up being London that'd be amazing.

Been a while since I played this... well, since Forza 6 came out. I love the support from this game, I'll have to jump back into it at some time.

Been a motorbike courier in London for 25 years so I know central London very well, putting a £10 down that's exactly where I said. :)

.... But if I am wrong, hey... Still getting city tracks in DC. :D

This is all I've wanted from this game, and I've gotten it. This is the true PGR successor.

Imagine, snow covered streets of London. Better yet, torrential downpour while racing through Paris.

In some DC thread there was something about the game getting an update to make it even look better. Did that ever happen? What was the update to the visuals?

This game keeps giving. Kudos to these guys for supporting it. I wonder what are their future plans? DC2? or something else. Such a talented studio.

No one knows yet.

My guess is that it will be like "Driveclub Bikes", something like "Driveclub Cities" as a standalone or expansion that pigybacks onto the main game.

I hope not. All tracks were free in 2014/15 so hopefully the same applies here. Don't want the players to be split.

So if this is a pretty decent indication that they're going to continue updating the current game instead of just jumping to a sequel, now might be the time a person should buy the whole game?

Free like all DRIVECLUB tracks.

Do we have any quotes on that? It easy to assume that after how it worked the first year, but maybe we shouldn't make any definite statements that people will latch onto, until we know for sure. Imagine all the moaning if it doesn't turn out to be true.

People expecting it for free, don't get all excited. I can't remember if Japan was free or not, but for something this level of quality, be prepared to pay for it. I'll happily drop all the moneys on it regardless.
Japan was free.

Charging for tracks splits the community, which is why I'd suppose they were all free in year one. That logic doesn't change in year two, and in fact its probably more important than ever not to split people up like that.

So I do hope any new tracks and environments stay free for the entire community. They can always charge for other things.

This - I think will be free, but I expect season pass 2 to be announced soon as well. I don't think Evo will split the community - they have always, in terms of access, provided a non-pay option for cars, bikes etc that need higher levels to attain, so everyone can be eligible for the challenges etc.

I view the Japan tracks as something they were already working on during DC's development and had to cut from the game (given how it only took them a few months to come out after the game's release), so they released those as free DLC.

With Sony's plan to turn the game into a service platform instead of creating direct sequels, it makes more sense for any brand new environment to be in some season pass 2.0 or as separate paid DLC.

City tracks is exactly what will bring me back to this game. Hopefully has a few cities and several tracks in each one. Would happily buy another season pass for content like this.

Yeah, I expect to pay for the city streets.

Games as a service rely upon fostering a community and providing legs via continual development and DLC, and the practice of premium maps/tracks set those two goals diametrically against each other.

I'd like to hope that we're in the final throes of this kind of premium map pack stuff we had last gen. It harms more games than it helps.

Great new, but I have some questions.

Is this supposed to be just one track? Also, are these tracks still going with the "based on real locals" formula or are they going to be truer to life? Lastly, are these tracks going to be grouped according to the countries we already have?

Second image looks like it could be Stockholm.

I really like the idea of developers focusing on making one game better rather than leaving it to die while they rush out a sequel.

DRIVECLUB, like Smash Bros and Street Fighter IV, will be absolutely massive at the end of its run.
