Trump is destroying something many countries would die to have but cannot: neighboring nations that not only like each other but work together and consider themselves allies.

Trump is making an enemy out of one of two neighboring nations. This is insane and has to be stopped. And if Trump insists on that fucking wall I see even less reason for Mexico to fight drug traffickers that want to get to the US. Mexico is not obligated to stop them from crossing. We do it because we're allies and care for each other but with this scumbag I can't see why that should continue. Especially when the orange turd continues to admit his half of the bargain: the only reason drugs go through Mexico is because Americans love o consume them.

Stay safe Mexico GAF. There's a lunatic on the loose :(

Has anyone told Trump he might be the problem? We wouldn't have the entire world community turning against us if he could avoid passing some batshit executive order/firing everyone each week.

The rest of the world can't, it's going to have to be from within.

Give the rate we're going, I wouldn't be surprised if the UN stepped in after one too many heinously grotesque violations of the Geneva Convention...

Or sending in foreign troops into Mexico's territory without permission, which could legitimately kick-start a war.

I think it will need to be both sides. The world needs to start "banning" or refusing to work with the U.S. and then the Republicans in Congress will see they went too far and begin to reel him in or move to impeach. I think as long as he continues to get away with it and the Democrats are powerless, Republicans will let this fool have his way.

Alright the most terrifying part about this is Mexico is a US ally what happens when he pulls this type of bs with a country like China. I wonder how the mexican people feel about trump now that he has disparaged their country again and their president showed that he has the spine of a jelly fish.

You could perhaps try like...help Mexico? I mean, helping to make the nation safe(r) would likely stop illegal immigration, the drug trafficking and whatever else, pretty significantly. But I'm probably crazy.

I think we will start hearing about China after he finishes bullying Mexico and the Middle East. I don't think they are in the clear yet and I give it a month or so before he points in that direction.

Trump is going to get us in a lot of problems. I fear for the next president, may get a trunk full of Nobel Peace Prizes when they are sworn in.

Ya thats not gonna happen.

So Germany, France, everyone in the United Nations, Canada, Japan... they'd just sit back and let America invade another nation without provocation?

I feel like even the rest of the world has a tipping point, and America's "mighty" goes to our heads far too quickly (and our track-record isn't exactly spotless since WWII).

I mean, other than Trump's "I'll nuke anyone who opposes me" policy...

During a phone call with Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto on Friday, President Donald Trump reportedly disparaged Mexico and threatened to use military force against the drug trade, according to Washington, DC-based journalist Dolia Estevez.

Sooooooo, he'll invade Mexico then? Does he need Lebensraum that early already?

Why the fuck are we pissing off one of our most important trading partners again?

I'd really like to know.

This "businessman" isn't good for business.

Oh right. Forgot about China. Yeah that's just brilliant. Fucking imbecile..

Russia invaded Ukraine and no one did anything.

What do you think the plan would be. An amphibious landing of troops?

Honestly, the U.S. has been the sole superpower for so long they probably wouldn't know what to do. Economically I suppose they could try things but as far as direct military confrontation, nah.

Why "Fuck Peña Nieto?" I don't see anything in this situation that makes Nieto look bad unless you actually expected Mexico to pay for Trumps bullshit wall.

If anything, I think Nieto has handled Trump in the same way everyone should which is to give him zero respect, he deserves none.

Note: Fucked up title, mod can add the word "way"?

Nah it's fine, it's easy to guess what the full title was.

It got me thinking how many words you could cut off and still know what to expect from the thread:

Report: Trump's call to Mexican president was done in a ... - yep, still works

Report: Trump's ... - too much, you know he did something stupid or shitty but what sets it apart from other threads?

Report: Trump's call to Mex ... - ding ding ding we have a winner

Trump's going to start more wars than he can handle. He's saying Iran is "on notice". He not too subtly hinted at invading Iraq and stealing their oil. And apparently now he's threatened to invade Mexico.

Bush did this just fine. Your unaware of just how much the US outmatches everyone else especially the EU militarily. The EU currently relies on US protection through NATO. The scenario your talking about is batshit crazy land.

Well, being fair, Peña Nieto is pretty pusillanimous indeed, which gives fuel to trump to say shit like he does.

In fact, when EPN cancelled the meeting with trump it was for us like, "woah! he did something that made him look like an actual leader!".

Actually they can, but it will be really hard and I hope it will not come to that, as otherwise we are probably looking at billions of lives lost, most of the earth being a wasteland and rebuilding probably being pointless.

The rest of the world absolutely can step in and stop him, especially if Trump gets involved in too many confrontations and ends up spreading the military too thin

For fuck's sake, all of this reads like an ungodly mutant of your average Tom Clancy film and a particularly bad gangster movie.

"Hey, Nieto! Nice country you got there. Would be a shame if something happened to it."

I'm gonna need Mexican-GAF to tell me if Aristegui is the real deal, because I just checked the original source and the whole conversation sounds insane.
