Not necessarily. Resolution is important for a shooter since you want to be able to see everything on the screen with ease. His message seemed out of place in a resolution thread. Why should we not care?

He shouldn't be permanently banned, but he (and all insiders) should be held accountable. Yes, their information is a mix of first, second, third, etc. hand accounts, but it's ultimately their job to vet the information that they're passing along. CBOAT has a lot of clout, and his word is typically taken as gospel. A phenomenon that was well earned. Having said that, when your every word is taken has 100% truth, and you have a platform as expansive and wide reaching as Neogaf, your words now have power behind them. So when you throw around incorrect "facts" in the face of compelling evidence, much of which came from true first hand knowledge, and double down on it despite that fact, then that's definitely a problem. It's basically defamation at that point.

there is like 2 maps that look good, one of them was called lagoon ( so the water makes it look nicer) but yea it has a very struggle look to it

Played the beta, thought it was ugly then, think it's ugly now. I wish it would have gotten a bit of an upgrade since the beta, but doesn't look like it, I'll judge better when it's on my screen

This is how I'm reading into it too. I do think it's a strange situation in that people want rules enforced but also that it's better to keep reliable insiders.
I guess it's going to come down to the mods opinion though. Could end up being a bit of a 'cutting your nose off to spite your face' scenario however.

Yup.
I have high hopes for Titanfall 2 though.
I feel like Respawn got the idea out there, got the game where they needed it to be, albeit very bare bones.
Titanfall 2 will hopefully be on PS4 as well, have 1080p @60fps, enhanced lighting and effects, customization of pilots and titans, and enhanced AI.
Looking forward to playing it maxed out on PC though. Any word yet on if performance of the PC version improved?

If somebody told me those screens were from a DLC for MW1 I would believe them. I know graphics aren't everything, and the beta was a decent amount of fun... but I still don't see how they can't hit 1080p with those visuals.

You'd think with so many people playing early on the PC version we'd get more high rez screenshots by now :/
It truly is nothing special to look at, but this is one of those cases of gameplay propping up a game. I haven't had as much fun with an FPS, as I did with Titanfall in a loooong time. I also have BF4 on PC, and while that game is great to look at, I didn't find it as enjoyable as the Titanfall Beta on PC.
1080p really did help make the game easy to look at though. My IQ was good, and texture quality was my only real complaint.

Indeed. It has good art direction, but that has nothing to do with its poor graphical fidelity.
Or are you going to argue that you would rather it be 792p than 1080p+ like we see on PC?
Assuming the 360 version is viable, that's a definite possibility, but I'm not exactly sure how that's relevant Lol

Nah, but I'm just not that big of a fan of the aesthetics and art style of it all. Plus it's cross gen so it looks even more, "ehh"

If he has a 360 then he doesn't need to upgrade. I can have fun on NES too. It's allegedly a next gen system so i expect at least better visuals than 360 from 2005.

It looks like they were put through bullshit facebook/tumblr compression. Even though the res is terrible, direct feed shots would not normally look this bad.
The game is really fun. Hopefully the devs solved the myriad of technical problems from the PC beta.

Most people were hoping for a resolution boost to around 900p.
Respawn even hinted at the possibility, but since the beta was hitting 30fps at 792p, there was a lot of doubt it could reach 900p as well.
Have people on here really been keeping a tally for all the years he has been around? And it is really 50/50?
