I think I explained what I meant well. If you're using unreasonable people to calibrate your reaction to something, you're going to have a hard time staying reasonable yourself.
First of all let me say thank you for being concerned with my ability to reason. I checked and it's still working fine.
That's what I wrote
"CBOAT pissed in a lot of xbox fans cereals over the course of last year. Now some of them see an opening and are out for blood."
And after careful reasoning I still stand by it.
I pointed out Bish because he was someone who isn't motivated by factionalism who thought it was enough of a problem to make a statement.
I still don't know how you came to the conclusion I meant Bish with my statement - he certainly wasn't petitioning for a ban on CBOAT in all the threads sourrounding that topic - he made one single post. Some xbox fans were pushing their "ban agenda" really hard at every possible opportunity though. That's what I noticed and that's what I pointed out.
It wouldn't matter if someone were annoyed by bad info about something because they like it, we shouldn't legitimize stubbornly bad info.
And for the record - I never said CBOAT shouldn't be banned (as a slap on the wrist - certainly not a perma) - I simply chose to not petition for it in light of all the insight he has provided over the years as doing otherwise would have seemed hypocritical to me.
