Star Wars Mafia |OT| A Wretched Hive of Scum and Villainy

This is between Blarg and me. Nobody else go before I do, dammit!

Come at me Sir Mak, the line on the ground's been totes drawn

It's open season for The Most Dangerous Game

Tick-tock goes the clock

THE HUNT WAITS FOR NO ONE

Chickens! Is there no one else willing to fight me and force me to Role-claim afore the suns set?

Bloodsport beside, what we truly need right now is:

  1. A recent Vote Tally, so that we can assess where and how we currently stand.
  2. A Rebel rally point. Zubz and Edge, a standard and a bearer; the recent actions of the pair of you should be the foundation that the Rebels' Day 2 debate revolves around. We need to think about what you've done and how people have reacted to it... or *not* reacted to it. And thus, detain accordingly.
  3. Someone to detain, seriously. I maintain my proposal of considering to cull the numbers of the silent amongst us; I still suggest we consider detaining the least vocal of our crew. Personally, I think that the sooner we get rid of these non-entities the better. Their quietness potentially belies the existence of a secret forum where they spend their time discussing their sinister Hutt machinations. Who are they? Someone make a list.

If anything, at least this would be a point of discussion to begin this Day's detainment debate from. Come up with reasons For and Against doing so.
  4. A REMINDER THAT THE SUNS OF DAY 2 ARE SOON TO SET:

    t1432774800z1.png

    0S1LK1A.gif

    GO GO GO

I think we should be focusing on:

  1. The reactions and non-reactions to Edge's and Zubz's grand debut as Rebels, and
  2. QuantumBro's suspiciously blatant usurping of exmachina's Rebel Armourer throne.
Forget the shield-or-gun campaign, and focus on the campaigners... and non-campaigners... themselves.

Mmmf, quite glacial.

*sigh*

Perhaps, a dash of spicy derailment—?

If someone beats me in a minigame of MS Paint 'Lines & Boxes';
I, Blargonaut, will Role-claim today (In-game Day 2).

But, if I win;
the loser has to Role-claim today (In-game Day 2).

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
THE RULES OF THE DUEL.
  • The first individual to download the image below and repost it with their move (draw it with Paint, rehost the image using Imgur or whatever, then post it in thread) will be the first designated challenger, and thus *IS OBLIGATED to play the match against me until it is finished.
  • *NOTE: If the designated challenger backs out DURING the minigame, that counts as their Loss and thus they are obligated to Role-claim.
  • I'll gladly accept to face as many challengers it takes until I am beaten, but the board resets with each new challenger and I get first move. Also, one challenger at a time.
  • This is a game of honour. I'm a trooper of my word, and I will absolutely legitimately Role-claim if I'm beaten. But, if I win and the loser doesn't Role-claim before Day 2 ends, he/she officially has bad-sport coward cooties.
  • If you play improperly or unfairly, I reserve the right to back out without obligation, if I choose to. I supplied a fair tutorial below for the unfamiliar, so there's no reason this should happen with anyone...
  • It's simple, really.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
GAMEPLAY CRASH COURSE.
Just in case you're unfamiliar, here's a Youtube vid that shows a match in action, explains it way better than I can:
'Lines & Boxes' Gameplay

Text-explanation below, if you can't watch it (but you should, if you want to duel me properly):

  • Each turn must be posted in its own separate image file; I post my turn/image, you post your turn/image, I post my turn/image, you post your turn/image, I post my turn/image, etc., etc.
  • The gist: Draw lines between the black 'x' points, make boxes. No diagonal lines allowed. Only horizontal or vertical.
  • We take turns. I get first turn. Draw ONE line per turn.
  • However: if you manage to draw a line that completes/closes a box (is the final fourth side), your turn continues and you can draw ONE MORE line anywhere you want; after which, it switches to my turn as normal. The vid above best shows how this is done.
  • If the opportunity presents itself, you can use this rule to chain-combo box completions/closings. Again, the vid above best shows how this is done.
  • When you close a box, you own that box, and so you MUST draw your initial in that box. Vid.
  • When marking a box; kindly use a different initial than mine, for box ownership clarity. I will be "B".
  • The game ends when no more lines can be drawn and all possible boxes are therefore owned.
  • The one with the highest amount of owned boxes at the end, wins.
  • I really botched this explanation.
  • IT'S SIMPLE, REALLY.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And so, I'll make the first move:

eHSYO7E.png

Now, who here's got the tauntauns to gamble with their Role... for mine?

Quoting my stupid challenge for the new page.

This has to be done before Day 2 ends.

I am dead serious about this.

Play me.

I'm not really seeing anything crazy suspicious in anything today though I do think we should look at people that haven't posted since Zubz and I's whole debacle. I'm still holding with my vote but if we do see something peculiar and it's good enough I may be on board.

Because I've always had suspicions of him and his easy to jump on voting me today right off the bat, IVote: Palmer_v1. Don't like the way this guy is playing at all. Some could say that about me, but I just feel he either has another agenda or is a Hutt.

That is suspicious but what's even more suspicious is this:

You're both jumping pretty hard on CzarTim right now.

Why not just tell us now? Seems suspicious for you to mention it and withhold the information from us. If we decide to vote you you can always hold your "secret message" over us unless we decide not to detain you.

Vote: Blargonaut

You have some 'splaining to do...

VOTE: Makai

As it currently stands, these are the only people that have a vote against them (there was an vote and unvote of TheWorthyEdge by Palmer too). If I remember the rules correctly only one more vote would be needed against any of them when time ends. I personally did not see anything particularly scummy about any of them although I will go over all the posts in this in-game day again.

At the moment I am tending to vote against Palmer or OceanicAir again.

Nothing has changed about me feelings for OceanicAir.

I think Palmer's change of heart when it comes to detaining is kind of suspicious. IIRC in Day 1 Palmer was for voting No Detain in the beginning. Now it seems like he can't vote fast enough.

My vote against TWE at the start of the day was to get him moving about his role. I wasn't going to let him get away with an RNH style dodge. Then I went two days without voting again, so I'm not sure why you think that's suspicious. If you'd rather sit here until time runs out, we can just let someone get voted with a 1 or 2 vote plurality. Hint: That player won't end up being Mafia.

You need to prod the inactive people. It feels like only 1/4 of the game are actually contributing right now, and even a few of those are just wasting time, like Blargonaut.

would probably like a hook in his jaw for that matter
Vote: Rymuth

After Palmer's vote, I decided to check Rymuth's post history and just find the continual suspicions against Worthy a little odd. That, coupled with the low post count, make me suspicious. My confidence is still shot, from the last vote, but being indecisive only really helps the hutts, so I'm making my vote for now.

Is there a particular reason you don't like me voting against Rymuth?

I am agreeing with your vote. Sorry if it seemed to imply I was suspicious of you. I saw your vote, which you said was based on post counts. That prompted me to look closer at Rymuth and decided to vote too.

Sorry, it was meant for Traube, not you. I wasn't expected your post in between the two or I would have quoted him again.

Naw, Palmer; the only thing I'll be wasting is Makai

I'm presenting you all the opportunity to discover what my Role is, for better or worse. The match will be quick, a mere few minutes of banter and image-posting. Y'all lack faith in your minigame skills, or am I just that intimidating? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

You all want more information to base today's Detainment vote on, and I'm handing it to you on a silver chessboard!

All you have to do is accept my gambit.

I actually don't see anything wrong with that. Most people who don't want to detain on day one feel it's a waste as it might as well be a random vote.(I don't agree with that assessment, but it is how most feel.) But from day 2 onwords we usually have more information to work with, so votes can be made somewhat less shot in the dark.

When I saw the vote for rymuth, I had gotten concussed. Why is Palmer posting against him?

Then I went back 300 posts to his last post... Yeah... That is kind of bad. I'm trying really hard to post once a day (or at least once every 100 post page).

We have two 24 hour periods before our vote is due? As far as "low contributers". He is as good as anyone. I've been putting some thing together On a more prolific poster, but I kind of want to wait one more night period before I make my argument. Depending on who gets the gun, who lives and who dies, it may affect that hypothesis.

I'll vote tonight/tomorrow (central standard time here), I'll wait to see a bit, especially if rymuth doesn't come in to defend himself I'll probably vote for him.

I don't really have problem with you voting against Rymuth. It was just your voting behaviour that caught my.

At the moment there are 4 players, besides myself, I trust to some degree.

CzarTim and redhood56 for starters. Gave my reasons for that already.

The other two players are TWE and Zubz. Should probably be easy enough to see if they are telling the truth during the night for some roles.

At the moment I am against voting for inactive players. I think it is more likely that they are Rebels than Empire.

We already came up with the idea to vote against inactive player in the first day. So I assume Empire players would put pressure on their parters to look active.

I just don't have terribly strong feelings about anyone at this point. I'll probably keep prodding people with votes like I did Day 1, and actually commit to a specific person when we have around 24hours left in this day. I just don't think we should kill off active players unless we have GOOD reason to do so.

I realize that some may feel that due to the recent resurgence of my 'antics', that I am not 'gainfully contributing' towards a Day 2 detainment solution. But, I am.

Please know that I am indeed building a case against a certain individual, which I intend to present to the crew after my minigame bout versus Makai has concluded, and before the Day ends.

This should leave you all enough time to debate its content.

And so, I await the duelling hour.

If someone is bored and wants to help out in some way, they should start at the very beginning of this thread and go to the end of day 1, trying to get the answer to two questions.
http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1047199
1. Who is the other Undercover Imperial?
2. Who do the Hutt think the Undercover Imperial(s) is?

Remember, the Hutt probably don't want to randomly lynch since it puts two of their agents at risk. So, they're waiting to discover who this undercover imperial is and once they have an idea, they'll vote with the undercover imperial.

Other links to help:
List of swamped's posts
Lists of all posts mentioning the word Imperial

Now I think their's a very obvious suspect for the other undercover agent, but I'll wait until later tonight to make an accusation to give other people a chance to look through and find an answer themselves.

I guess I'll take a look at it myself, while I wait for Makai.

I'll post any... findings at the same time I post my aforementioned case; after the duel.

I've been sitting on two things/people, seeing if they'd come up elsewhere before I drew any attention to myself. Now that Quantum and otherse are researching the other imperial, here you go:

I’m still undecided on if we should detain someone Day 1. If we do and it’s a fellow Rebel not only will that person be gone but during the Night someone will be killed by the Imperial Agents leaving us with two gone. I suppose we could get lucky and vote a Hutt out but our chances aren’t very good if we try that. As Palmer said what if we detain someone who could eventually help us?

http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=164344240&postcount=332

Undercover Imperial is Swamped's role, and presumable that of her partner. We don't know what info the Hutts have about these two, but as far as anyone else knew, we were stricly looking for Hutts. Not 100% proof of anything.

The other post that made me suspicious early on is this one:

Hello everyone! Unfortuantly I lost my eye and arm in the crash. They are both robotic.

Who else would need to drop this kind of hint?

I'm not going to lie to you, I was planning on using that post to do some bullshit vote against someone. It was probably going to be something like " I saw ____ do something last night with my robotic eyes 2x feature", since I am an ordinary rebel and can't do jack shit.

TB. Why did you vote Palmer right off the bat?
You mean at the begining of the game? That was a random vote to jump start the game.

In some mafia circles, such as mafia scum, the opening moments of the game are often referred to as the Random Voting Stage, or RVS for short. During the RVS, someone will usually vote someone for no reason other than to get a reaction. This was my goal for that vote. By doing so it would stop people from asking the 'now what' question that plages day one of mafia.

I'm always suspicious of the innocuous posts like that. What better time to hide info? Remember last game when I essentially role claimed in my very first post, but did it in a fluffy way that went under the radar until I officially role claimed.

He also had that weird set of posts about killing everyone, crab making a joke, etc. It was tecnically before the game began, but he might have had his role PM already.

Let me see if I can explain why I called them that. Boba Fett was a bounty hunter, unaffiliated with the Empire, but for all intense and purposes he was an Imperial Agent. At least during the time while he was contracted by the Empire.

It's why I called them Imperial Agents, although while they may be Hutt gangsters they're being contracted by the Empire, hence Imperial Agents.

Right about a random vote that you later went back on? You voted swamped after she posted the whole of two posts in the thread, and it was even before everybody had posted once. And then you changed your vote to me giving no other reason besides me supposedly posting like how you did in the previous game. I am rebel though people can check if they want to waste a night.
