Maybe it's not actually outside of the Direct, but in one of those videos Nintendo shows from time to time directly after a Direct. So, not technically part of the main show, but still part of the broadcast.

This is something I thought of. Remember that NSMBU developer's direct and that Iwata Game Center that came after directs?

Though the way it's worded sounds like it's completely seperate. I wonder how it's going to be announced though? A post or video on their official website? A press release?

Hell, even that's not necessary. If parents have enabled the parental lock, then kids won't be able to play it anyway.

It has to be this. It would be as cheap as chips to do as a budget eShop title for Sega. Just as long as Sega don't release it as a full price retail title, it can be picked up for other platforms for about a fiver but I'd have no problems paying as much as a tenner for it.

Not too sure about who owns the first game though. If the IP belongs to Platinum Games there's always a chance that Nintendo could include the first game with Bayonetta 2, perhaps..? I'd be cool with that too.

Mass Effect 3 is an actual story driven game and they didn't do that for ME3 on Wii-U

Nor Assassin's Creed for AC3. Nor Arkham Asylum with Arkham City
