Quantum Break coming to PC and Xbox simultaneously on April 5th (?)

Again, like someone else said get rid of it. Them releasing the game on PC no way in shape or form is going to ruin the experience for you. Times have changed and if MS needs to adapt then let them. I'd rather for them to release a new unproven IP on both X1/PC which will increase its likelihood of being successful then it bombing and we don't get another one. That's just me though.

You don't just get rid of shit more than 2 years old. Its a lose but if the opportunity was present or it was known when it was $499 someone then would simply add a little more and get a PC. Exclusivity adds importance to a product that's why the damn word exists.

ps4 sells like crazy and is the most powerful console with best muti. The only positive aspect of x1 were exclusive. You really do not see the difference between the two?

Not really considering that the top games that are pushing the sales of the PS4 and the Xbox One are multiplatform games -- many of which are available are PC; Therefore showing that the majority of console gamers don't play on PC too often (or at all).

I don't see what's wrong with wanting a new IP to do as best as it possibly can. Many console gamers will still view a console exclusive that's on PC as an exclusive anyway.

Yeah

Do we? That seems quite naive. I'm already salivating at the thought of all the UC4 vs QB stuff that will happen. It's going to be a fun time.

QB on PC opens up the possibility of 1080p60 and BEYOND

At that point, if there are further optimizations and additional GFX tech in the game, the competition ends.

We don't know anything about the Kojima IP or who owns it. So your argument is invalid.
Yes, Helldivers and EGTTR is coming to PC. Smaller IP's made by (smaller) indie devs. Releasing it on PC to make more money for them (the indie dev) is a good choice. But you won't see big AAA exclusives like Uncharted, inFamous, Bloodborne, Horizon (and so on) on the PC.
That's what he (Ales) is talking about.

This.

Xbox One title Quantum Break will also be released on PC, and both versions will launch on April 5, developer Remedy Entertainment and publisher Microsoft have confirmed.

During a recent press trip where the Windows edition was confirmed, Remedy did not offer any details on the port. It is unclear whether the PC game was developed in-house at the Finnish studio, or if another developer was involved.

edit: quadruple-beaten.

With the handful of exclusives left that i'm interested coming to the platform...

I'm running out of reasons to keep my XBO.

I'll be there for the PC version now though!

Yeah calling right now...MIcrosoft wants to grow THEIR platform. WIndows Store only release

It does help that the binary between xbox one and windows store can be exactly the same

I just bought a gaming PC and I don't have an Xbox one, I don't want an Xbox one and this makes it so much easier not to get one! Thank you MS!

All I need now is Scalebound PC port and I am good.

EDIT: OMG that GS article says Scalebound is coming for PC!!!!!!!!!!

It's pretty great how PC keeps getting these exclusives, can't wait to try it.

That article mentions GoW4 and Scalebound?

The article is listing games that has already been announced for both platforms, so it looks like an error on the writer's part as neither has been announced for both.

EDIT: Gamespot already edited the article. This is what it now says

"Quantum Break's PC edition is the latest in Microsoft's wider push to expand its games across console and PC. Games currently in development for both platforms includes ReCore, Sea of Thieves and Fable Legends".

From the Gamespot article:

Quantum Break's PC edition is the latest in Microsoft's wider push to expand its games across console and PC. Games currently in development for both platforms includes Gears of War 4, ReCore, Scalebound, and Fable Legends.

Who knows if it's a mistake, but it's interesting.
