That Eurogamer article looks so bad right now.

Edit- is the above pic a fake?

Edit 2 - looks like it was real. And the press release doesn't mention a platform for the Ultra games specifically. Well, maybe I'll hold off on throwing Eurogamer under the bus for now.

In the direct, Ishihara stands before a shelf with all the mainline Pokémon games... Except Diamond/Pearl/Platinum. (There are all the other ones, from Red to Moon).

Subtle DPP remake foreshadowing?
lol

I think the correct phrasing would be they stick with an older system until the newer one has a decent install base. By the way you worded it, TPC would have stuck with the DS.

I think they just finish each generation on whatever platform it started on instead of trying to port it to the newer one. Unless Nintendo tries to keep the 3DS alive until 2020 (or makes a 3DS successor), the next generation of games will be on Switch.

That Eurogamer article looks so bad right now. It's not just that the thrust of the rumor was wrong, but it now seems like literally every aspect of the story was never happening. It basically reads like fan fiction at this point.

Edit- wait, what at that pic above me. Eurogamer redeemed?

It's all Eurogamer's Uncle that works at Nintendo's fault... Get him!

My anger about this is so overwhelming that I feel like I might actually throw up.

They can't keep doing this to us. We are Pokemon fans before all else!

Is there a petition to sign somewhere to make them shift all resources from Pokken to Stars?

The Pokemon Company will be shut down after this Direct.

It is known.
Even then, it's like only TPC exists to add any flavor to the line up of this year...
I expect a Pokemon next year and I actually think it would pretty normal.
It doesn't seems unacceptable to not get one this year.

Switch portbegging is like a cancer on NeoGAF.

It's a new hendheld like system the 3ds tech is ancient by now even a cheap mobile has better screen resolutions and specs probably than a 3ds. So i can see why people are frustrated to play yet again on SD resolution jaggies blurryness etc.

Now we're really getting desperate, I see. Bargaining, already?

In record time, no doubt.

This part seems weird, considering how good it looks. May just be a little cinematic for the trailer.
This must be the Switch version that they'll reveal next week, I want to believe!

This looks like Switch capability to you guys? Looks exactly like 3DS to me.

And another thing. Doesn't HeartGold & SoulSilver already exist? Why VC of the original.....they could have just ported over the definitive versions with Pokemon Bank compatibility.

Just to be clear: you guys do realize that the Japanese name of these games is Pokemon Star: Ultra Sun /Ultra Moon? Because I'm seeing lots of "they might still announce Pokemon Stars at a later date" -posts.
Just checked. No, the Japanese names are the exact same as the English ones. Remember, the games are called Pocket Monster in Japan, so there's a "star" at the end of that due to how Japanese works, but it's just part of the Pocket Monster.

Maturity, bitches.
"That's it for today"?

I tend not to swear but this is fucking unacceptable.

Nintendo is letting all the momentum of the Switch just die instantly while The Pokemon Company laughs in their face.

Their last chance was Pokemon Stars and they blew it. Game over.

Nintendo's last chance for the Switch taking off is at the four month mark into the life of the system?

This was the worst direct in quite sometime. I hope they can take a hint that Pokken will never be a thing, they need to to accept that and move on.

Continue clinging onto hope. It only makes the disappointment all the more savory. Thanks for the pre E3 entertainment Pokemon Company.
