We let them off the hook with poor movement in the box turning decent oppurtunities into easy clearances. Ah well, huge improvement over the 4 performances previous

Tbf I think Shaw only had one assist last season.
He didn't in fairness. Obviously something he'll improve on but wasn't the best part of his game.

Originally I think it was just hating on players who left Southampton by throwing public fits. Which amounted to Lallana and Lovren for the most part

Tbf it's statistically true that Shaw doesn't have much end product yet. One assist all last season iirc. He is however, a solid defender.
Evra scored a lot of goals for a fullback in his last two seasons for us but he was frequently one of our worst performers. End product for a fullback is a bonus but not a pre-requisite.

Shadow of Mordor is the brownest game I've ever seen. Shame they constrained their own art direction by setting it entirely there. Not sure how they could have made it work as an open world though if it was set elsewhere as well, since the entire area surrounding Mordor is similarly sparse iirc

Actually thought Rojo had a pretty good game today overall.
He's been fairly good since he came back. That blip last week aside it's a breath of fresh air compared to that vegetable Valencia.

Yeah rojo was OK today at CB. These are so early days, will take time to gel and we have so many injuries. Expecting some very tough times with Everton, Chelsea and city games coming up but I really expect us to look much, much better after Xmas.
Now he plays for Inter FC, on loan from Roma but he played enough matches so Inter will HAVE to buy him.
Not a bad player, nor a good one. I'm guessing he's super fast in the game.

Also the formation we are playing right now doesn't fit him and Valencia. Barring any injury or red card requiring us to change formation, he won't be getting any game time. Shaw, Rojo and Blind are better LB, Di Maria is a better winger and midfielder than he can ever hope to be, so too does Adnan. So yeah, I am really happy he is out.
He and players like Fletcher, Reece etc pretty much trolled us in preseason; putting up nice displays only to show their true colours once the league started proper.
