"But Game Freak!" is not a good reason to refuse to believe that the game's on Switch.

Stars on Switch was at the core of Eurogamer's initial report. If you believe in Stars at all, you believe that it's on Switch.

All those small dots in the background. Reminds me of something.

Nintendo doesn't decide when Pokémon games are announced. The Pokémon Company does. And they never announced games at E3 before.

Well i would like to be proven wrong..only because I love pokemon and I will not hype myself to be one of the individuals that will have their heart crush when they say "Pokemon STARS only for Nintendo 3DS in 2018"...of course they could port it over to switch but with 3ds graphics and that would suck too.

Would prefer it be called Pokemon Eclipse, but that's nitpicky.

I think two versions, Pokemon Lunar Eclipse and Solar Eclipse, would be cool. Maybe that's a mouthful.

Hoping for something completely unexpected

Even if it's for the Switch Stars isn't exciting.

Hopefully Pokken Wii U can finally get its due. Worlds is coming up and it's still a part.

It can be both, trailer for Stars and Pokken Switch can be done in 8 mins

looking at the data, it would seem that like this is not going to be a new game announcement.

Game Freak usually announce 10 months prior to release right?

But then during Sun & Moons PR, we saw "HD renders" of pokemon and a pokemon center (?), so they could have had a team working on it during S&M development.

So i'm staying hopeful, but not too hopeful. :)

Y'know, I find this period prior to E3 really frustrating, when I'm working on my yearly Bingo Generator and interesting things are announced/leaked early. Oh well, don't need to finalise it until Sat!

It very well could be called that. Eurogamer said the code name was Stars, not necessarily the final name.

Or we're getting Red & Blue HD remakes? (probably not?)

Masuda retweeted, he only does for major game announcement.

Imagine Splatoon 2, Dragon Quest XI, Monster Hunter XX and Pokémon Stars on Switch in Japan.

Oh lord.

Oh sweet baby jesus

Watch it be Stars on 3DS :p

Pokemon Stars is incoming and includes a second story.

We play as Lillie and explore Kanto /s?

For real though, I really hope this is Stars and it truly is coming to Switch. If we get a mainline Pokemon on Switch within the first year I'll be officially done playing my other consoles.

I want to get excited but then I remember Sun/Moons 'reveal' that was basically the logos and feel disappointed. I'm sure we'll see a lot of news at e3 anyways though.

Stars and Pokken for Switch would make me very happy

I think Pokken deserves another shot on the Switch. To be honest, I haven't played it myself so I'd probably be interested in a port. Is it safe to say if Pokken does get a release on Switch this year, the competitive online games for Switch are stacked with Street Fighter 2, ARMS, Splatoon, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Puyo Puyo Tetris, & Pokken?
