looks WOW, but the change in weather looks pretty weak. its sunny, no wait, clouds condense in front of your eyes and BAM, rain!

game looks solid. I'm glad it's coming so soon. Forza has been good at actually releasing games even if every single one isn't revolutionary.

Yes, IGN went to Playground Games and took footage of Sumo Games' 360 game. smh

They mention numerous times in the videos that it's X1 footage, the poster in question is trolling. Ignore it.

Anyway, those non YT videos look incredible. Highly recommend everyone download them, the visuals look incredible.

Looks like a cartoon racer compared to CARS. It's still good, though.

That doesn't make sense??

Motorsport is the one to compare to PCars

Not mind blowing to be honest. The first one looks almost that good.

Yeah, those wet roads look the same.

Driveclub looks better graphically.

I feel this thread going to trash real fast....it's like certain people show up at once.

The videos in the OP show cockpit view racing in the rain.

Forza Horizon 2 will be playable on the showfloor, and it's the demo race shown in the videos posted in the OP.

I'm actually at Le Mans later in the week and hoping to have some community members get hands-on with the E3 demo there as well, anyone from GAF going to the race?

ah, sorry - was just going off the video on the xbox store.

3rd video makes the cars look a little low definition - the silhouette of the GTR is quite angular and the indented areas for the brake lights (and interior glovebox area) are noticable too. Aliasing is more noticable to me than in F5.

Rain looks ok but still overall doesn't quite 'wow' in the same way that PGR4 did.

Watched the 1080 videos and it looks very good with lots of things going on. A little bit more polish will make this a masterpiece!

Game looks gorgeous, but I believe I should not see them hands

Shouldn't be that hard ?

I also like the fact they talk about the weather and rain in the second video and how they are able to accurately calculate the rain drops , but ... it seems the power of the cloud, cannot calculate the cloud itselves as I don't see any of those ;)

Btw, what happened with the rims in here?

Looks stunning. Can't wait to see more.

Yea, the only thing that seemed odd. I think this might just be this demo? Each video is the exact same demo of the same race, I'm wondering if they did that on purpose in these videos just to show off the effect. Perhaps in the real game, it'll be more gradual (and realistic)? Guess more videos will help answer that.

Loving how the rain/weather works though. And accurate rainbows?? Sweet.

looks great in those non YT videos.

IQ is very good, while maybe not as soft as FH1.

Only thing i don't like, trees in the distance lose all detail and look quite bad, and the same happens in FM5. They should really rethink of the way they do trees, because this is not working.

Game looks like tons of fun and setting has incredible potential.

No night driving to be seen anywhere huh?

And whats with the opening of the doors while driving? Very cool looking, but I don't get it.

It's hard to be wowed after having experienced PGR4's fantastic weather effects. That said, the rain in this looks pretty good, and I'm sure that the game will only get more beautiful as it nears its release date. For what it's worth, I haven't been wowed by the first glimpse of PGR4's weather effects either (rain in St. Petersburg).

So... Any chance for snow in Horizon?

That's correct, whilst dynamic in the full game in the E3 demo build the rain starts at the same point in the race. The reasoning behind this is that people might only get one chance to try the game out on the showfloor, and we're keen for them to get a taste of the weather effects in action.

Thanks for clarifying. Add to OP?

The transition to rainy weather seems rather odd. Hopefully that will improved come release day.

See the official response above.

Hold on, friend! I'd love to share with you some swell news about the Windows 8 Metro UI! Wait, where are you going?
This looks pretty great! Never got a chance to play the first one but I love the location they chose for this.

3D crowds!
No more player names displayed on reflected hood!

Boo @ LoD pop-in (might be fixed before release)

Looks good overall, very excited for this.

Should have gone with snow.

Any chance of the E3 demo showing up on Live?

You can see in the videos that the time speed is pretty fast. The shadows are moving while you are making a turn.

They really drank Sony's milkshake here. Same social stuff as Drive Club, newer cars, open-world and it's coming out before DC.

Game looks awesome, though I have to admit the off-roading with these sports cars looks quite stupid. Don't really see the point in opening up the game world for cars... though it's obviously great for the rally mode(s) (from what I've understood FH1 had a great off-road DLC).

The wet reflections look great, but the rain itself is so-so. Other than that, the graphics are very solid.

WOW. My jaw just hit the floor and that was a HD You Tube video. The dynamic weather looks great. I am glad we got some gameplay as that is what I wanted to see more than anything. Cannot wait until this comes out!

Graphics look lovely. Very clean image. What impressed me the most was the map though. Open world? No barriers? I'd definitely pick this up if I had an Xbox.

I hope they can sort the tree detail pop in before launch, that was the only thing that didn't look amazing. You would of thought 5+gb of ram would be enough for stuff like that.

Seems more like DC drank the original Horizon's milkshake? (although neither are the first to do these things). DC isn't open-world, though, right?
